RB Tre Mason, the team's No. 3 back, will play this weekend after being held out of the Florida game with an undisclosed injury. "He was chomping at the bit last week," assistant coach Curtis Luper said. "We'll have some packages for him, ways to get him the ball." Mason typically is the pitch man in the wildcat formation.

Forget the wildcat. This is huge for our kickoff return team. Hopefully he can bust a 40 yard return at some point.

Because of THS, this song has been running through my head the last 24 hours.

He is not afraid to turn the ball up field on the jet sweeps. Having him as a change up from Dyer bruising the middle and McCalebb pounding the sidelines will be a huge plus for Saturday.

You used McCalebb and pounding in the same sentence. Jumbo shrimp

I doubt he will return kicks. Too easy to tweek the hammy again. Probably use him on offense to get a different look. he looks almost as fast as OM in the outside and runs a little harder than Dyer on the inside. he is a difference maker.

I'm pumped about him being back for kick off returns. As far as him being used in the backfield...move along, nothing to see here. He's played in 6 games and averages 2 carries a game. That's actually .5 more touches a game than Lutzenkirchen gets.

For over 5 YPC. About the same as Dyer/OMac. Just sayin.

Oh, I agree. My point is that I see him as a playmaker that needs at least 5-6 touches a game. I'd trade out a few of those McProne runs between the tackles for a few more Mason touches. Same with Lutz. Dude does nothing but make plays and he's averaging right at 1.5 touches per game.
