I haven’t researched this. What is different? Is it only that the school can pay the athlete rather than the NIL entity?

If so, why is that such a big blow (like Steve gives)? It’s just changing the path that the money follows.

So, what am I missing here? Are we certain that this is not just another “stay of my lawn” rant? If it is, I fully support it, btw. And I will definitely help you burn this motherfucker down.

I'm not out because I love the game too much.  However, this truly is the beginning of the end.  And it's going to implode quickly. 5 years from now, we won't even recognize the sport. Sad, but greed on all levels has killed it.

Battie is a senior and would be gone after this year.

Henderson is a 2025 recruit. 

How would beefing up his recruitment help is at all with the Battie situation?  Do you even math, bro?

We have two that are basically interchangeable, two in reserve kicking the stalls and another talent, Sean Jackson, who barely gets an opportunity and probably should transfer.


Battie was our first option on predictable throwing downs and definitely fielding punts... unless there is confusion on the sidelines v. our biggest rival.

I'm not concerned about their guard play so much as the many fresh bodies they can throw at Broome who truly needed a scoring compliment in the paint so he could function. We had a chance to add a big bodied scorer but ordered one on line with mixed reviews. I did read where he was a nice feller, a fine teammate and a good fit.
