Well. My roommate was with the 187th from like 1987 until about five years ago. Which years were you there? His last flyover at AU was the iron bowl where USA Today caught the flyover straight up through the goalposts.

2014-2019. I was in the Logistics Readiness Squadron. I’m sure I threw him a salute or 2 in passing.

I really wanted him to come back and play Buck. Dude is 6’5”, 245 Lbs, has 4.6-4.7 speed, and was one of our top rated pass rushers last year. Wanting production from him that mirrored the best of of Quentin Groves (R.I.P.), Dee Ford, Jeff Holland, Carl Lawson, etc. A rotation of pretty even snaps between McLeod, Crawford, and him would have been a pretty sticky wet dream.

While I like that idea, I’m not sure he was gonna find his way here. He had a lot of chances and just couldn’t find that niche.

Long story short, so different from a Snags tale…

Traveling on bidness in the mecca known for the birth of the Blues Brothers.  Walked to the nearby chain restaurant because I am lazy and alone.  Served by a pleasant young man who informs me that because he gives back with his income, my meal is taken care of.  I don’t argue but I left him a tip that was more than the meal.  He was so friendly and just the kind of server I love.  Attentive but not intrusive.

Maybe there is hope.

Wait, you live in PCB?! 😉

Also, I was part of the 187th for a 5 year spell. Bunch of good folks there.

The SGA / And the Worms Ate Into His Brain

Crazy Kennedy story.

Apparently a pork worm (trichinosis?) got into his skull and ate part of his brain.

Then it died.

Proof the liberal mind is poison

Former Auburn LB, Cam Riley, who originally transferred to NC State, has now landed in the Hassee'.  He's a Nole.

Signing Day / Re: Boom 2025!!!

On Monday, we lost one 3 star, Hollis Davidson, but added 4* Tyler Lockhart.  According to 247, that puts us #10 in the nation, and #4 in the SEC.

We have 10 commits, with 8 of them being 4*.  We sit behind LSU, Oklahoma and Bama.

Not only is UFree already building a loaded class talent-wise, but when have we ever had double digit commits in early May?
We was bumpin’ uglies.

I was part of a 69 for a 10 minute spell with Cindy Lou Schnedlemeister, back in 98'.

I saw the Thunderchickens down here in PCB on Sunday. It was a sight to behold.
I only got surprised once and the guy snuck up on us from behind and almost broke the barrier. You could see the air around the plane start to open up and he pulled back.

It’s an awesome sight to behold. Every time I see something like this, I get jealous of my AU roommate who flew F16s for 28 years with the 187th in Montgomery.
