Longwood played hard, but fell to #2 Auburn by the score of 2-1.
The record improves to 35-4 (9-3). They play tomorrow at 6 pm.
-
I had one helluva time though. All smiles.

Tigers win game 2, 5-2, and improve to 36-4 (9-3) on the year.
They go for the sweep tomorrow.

As much sports as I follow, I had never heard of Longwood. Neither has my wife. Out of Virginia and apparently a pretty competitive squad. Auburn is the 4th SEC team they've played. They haven't beaten an SEC team yet but between Sakerlina, Miss. St., LSU and Auburn, the worst loss has been 4-0. Probably expect that type of game again tomorrow.

Yeah, a little place called Farmville, VA. I lived in Virginia for 6 years and never heard of the place.
These gals are making our ladies earn every win. Both games have been hard fought.

I assumed we always play Bama...not on the schedule this year.

They have series against Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas A&M left.
The only way they play the gumpettes this season is if they meet in the SECT or the NCAAT.

Alright, there's something fundamentally wrong with not scheduling Alabama in any sport.

Auburn completes the sweep with a 6-5 win today. You've got to give credit to Longwood - those girls came to play.
The record improves to 37-4 (9-3) on the year. They head to Birmingham Wednesday to take on UAB.
-
Do the UAB girls have trouble with Longwood too!
