Title: Prattville Tornados
Post by: AUChizad on February 17, 2008, 10:07:39 PM
The neighborhood I grew up in got fucked up pretty badly by a tornado.
My parents' are ok. They got a hole blown in their roof, their back covered porch got messed up pretty bad, and their entire privacy fence is completely nowhere to be found. A couple houses on my street got leveled completely to the ground. They said it's a wasteland.

I hate to hear that, Chad.  I know what they're going through.  Thank God no one was killed, though.

It's been almost a year since a tornado tore through my hometown.  Every time I go back it's amazing to see the devestation, even a year later.  I remember the day after walking up to the house I lived in before I moved to Birmingham.  The front wall had collapsed into the living room, and the roof was lifted off and flipped over into the back yard.  Now it's just an empty lot.

As you'll probably see in the coming days, nothing brings a community together like a tragedy.

Same thing with my parents.  There was minimal damage, but there are houses on my parrents road that were completely destroyed.

Interestingly, if Chizad and AWK enjoy "2 girls and a cup", then even though their folks are relatively unscathed, their folks would still have relatives who scatted.
