After graduation, he became the head basketball coach, and an assistant football coach at Auburn. In ten seasons (1934-42, 1945-1946) as the head basketball coach, he compiled a record of 95-77. Coach Jordan also compiled 45 wins as head basketball coach at Georgia. In addition to being the winningest football coach in Auburn history, Jordan ranks fifth in wins among Tigers basketball coaches.

now, I am all for Trooper taking over the team right now and finishing the season.........at least they would be fun to watch and I bet the team would play with more intensity.

ps: useless trivia: Erk Russell was a four sport letterman at AU (earning ten varsity letters): football, baseball, basketball & tennis. The last four sport letterman at AU.

Surely he has no chance of staying. I mean, even if we win out, we'll be 19-12 with absolutely zero chance at the tournament. Right now we have two road wins....LSU (0-10 in SEC) and Alabama A&M. That's it. Two road wins.
Oh, and there's also the fact that we won't win out.
