Think other SEC schools are reassessing their recruiting today? We're guessing all of them are in the wake of the departure of Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin for Southern California on Tuesday night.

The Knoxville News-Sentinel says Tennessee's recruiting class is defecting.

AuburnUndercover.com said today Auburn had recruited six players who committed to Tennessee, and the Tigers and Vols were still fighting over defensive end Corey Lemonier. Auburn may not scoop up any of the unhappy commitments, but we'll see.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports today  at least three players who committed to Tennessee from Georgia have de-committed.

If you think there are some unhappy Tennessee recruits today, you would be correct. Read this cautionary recruiting tale from the Knoxville News-Sentinel posted under the headline: Recruiting class taking big hits with Kiffin's departure:

 "We bought into him and I made the biggest mistake I ever made," said Glen Fulton, the father of UT commitment Zach Fulton. "I bought into the man instead of buying into the university. Always buy into the university instead buying into the man. The university is going to be there."

If you think that's bad, for a player, consider this, for Tennessee. The newspaper reported assistant Ed Orgeron has told six of the recruits who were on campus not to enroll today so they can follow him and Kiffin to Southern California. Classy.

So gurus...anyone in particular we're looking at that already committed to Tennessee?

I seriously wonder what they are thinking today though...especially Oku.

Just for the record, the battle for Lemonier is b/w Auburn and FSU.
