i just read this on a blog http://drivingwiththebrakeson.blogspot.com/2007/09/product-placement.html (http://drivingwiththebrakeson.blogspot.com/2007/09/product-placement.html) I frequent written by a stay at home mom with a great sense of humor.
In getting milk for Cooper this morning I noticed the latest trend in advertising: stuck to the side of the gallon jug was a sticker advertising Oreo cookies. Genius! Everyone knows that milk and Oreos go together, and what better way to remind you of that (and simultaneously encourage you to buy the cookies) than to put it right on the packaging! In my quest to better the world in any way possible (or rather in a vain attempt to give anyone reading this a few giggles), I have a few suggestions for product pairings:
- on the Tampon box: a sticker advertising Haagen Dazs. You know if you're buying one, the other isn't far from the front of your mind, and since hormones can wreak havoc with your memory, this will serve as a thoughtful reminder.
- on the package of Huggies: a sticker touting Trojan condoms (though if your grocery stores are like mine, they are already in the same aisle - seems the concept of product placement has already caught on for at least one manufacturer.) Condoms might not be the most desirable form of birth control, but they do cost 1/2 as much as a package of diapers. This sticker should also be placed on all bottles of Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill and on each dozen of roses in the floral department.
- with the garlic: a reminder to add a bottle of Listerene to your cart - you're significant other will thank you for it.

Haven't played in about 4-5 months but was pretty heavy into it for awhile. Latest games are Call of Duty 4 and Assasians Creed on PS3. Brad your just jealous you always thought WoW was an expression.

Shit, I'm not knocking the Warcraft crowd. Frankly, I'd probably get involved it it wasn't the cost of getting involved right now, and not knowing if my internet speeds in the hotels would be worth it or not....
