Title: Where's the fucking CHANGE?!
Post by: Tarheel on November 19, 2008, 06:00:25 PM
So far The ONE has made three or so appointments for his glorious administration and I've yet to see any change.

His transition team announced today that former Senator Tom Daschle (D-SD) was picked to head HHS which, I'm told, is responsible for consuming nearly twenty-five percent of the federal government budget which, ironically, amounts to $700 billion.  With Daschle, a leftist Democrat socialist who lost his reelection to the Senate in 2004, in charge that should double in a couple of years.

Next up we learnt yesterday that The ONE chose former Clinton Administration official Eric Holder to head the Justice Department; a man who some say, to use MSM lingo, is corrupt as the day is long with his former connection to Countrywide Mortgage.  He was Clinton's Deputy Attorney General and he signed off on the Marc Rich pardon (which, to his credit, he later apologized for doing knowing full well it was wrong).

We learnt shortly after the election that The ONE chose another former Clinton Administration official Rahm Emmanuel to be his Chief-of-Staff.  He has some shady ties with Freddie Mac but don't expect the MSM to point it out.

And, as posted earlier this week, the Bitch from Hell herself, may be our next Secretary of State.

Where's the fucking change?  It's the Clintonistas all over again but I repeat myself.

I just heard Christopher Hitchens on The Hugh Hewitt radio show comment on these choices as "...mediocre, uninspired, and 10th rate."

Those of you who don't know who Christopher Hitchens is he's a British political pundit, author, intellectual, and fellow of the Hoover Institution; he's a US citizen now.  I find his articles interesting from time to time but I don't always agree with him; in this case, though, he's spot-on.

How dare you question the omnipotent brilliance of The One!  Your insolence will be rewarded with a required stay one of our new gom’et labor camps.  They’ll be modeled after the great successes of Stalin and Kim Jong Il.  Assalamu Alaikum...

The only change we are gonna see is pocket change, once they start with the tax increases and such...

What I find so funny right now is all of this second guessing as to why the markets have taken such a shit since the election.  The media wouldn't dare point the finger at The One's promises of higher capital gains taxes.  I mean, why would that impact the markets?  BTW, this is the largest post-elect decline by any measure in the history of our country.
