I'm not sold.

I will, obviously, watch it if the world still exists when it's supposed to come out, but...

I made my peace with where they are going in this version of the franchise. (Danny McBride was right; it really is a "choose your own adventure" horror saga.) If they are going to give us an intense, action-movie for the second act, I'm interested in it. Really curious what they'll do to end this next year. Blumhouse has already said they are going to finish this trilogy and then do something else with the property. Too much money not to.

Dumhouse is the reason for my hesitancy.

They have movies that look great in trailers, but almost always disappoint.  It's like Aerosmith "rock."  Pure cookie cutter corporate paint-by-numbers. It's all just blah.

You misspelled KISS.

So completely wrong.  KISS may have its share of faults.  Producing sanitized radio-friendly songs at the expense of rock and roll was never one of them.  Aerosmith is the poster child for Corp rock.

"Paint by numbers" literally defines their riffs and 95% of Frehley's solos.

You've lost your mind.  That is all.

Half his solos he doesn't even remember. Just because his sound is distinctive (and it is) doesn't mean it's always the same.  Dude is rock royalty.  One of the best ever.

The blandest, most banal scale recital guitar solo garbage.

Knows less than Jon Snow who knows nothing.

You know who disagrees with you?  Dave Grohl. Slash. Dave Mustaine. Snake Sabo. Mike McCready. That's for starters.  So I'll just take their word for it.

Somewhat true but…it’s still rock n roll. Aerosmith hasn’t been Rock n roll since Dream On.

To each his own.  Toys in the Attic, Rocks, Get A Grip all came out after Dream On.

Aerosmith is definitely Rock-n-Roll.  Unfortunately, they've defined themselves by putting out way too many ballads.

Another band, to a far, far lesser extent, that did that was Extreme.  I followed them because I'm a guitar nut (When I've got em') and Nuno Bettencourt is one of my all time favs.  They put out two acoustic songs that had some commercial success, More Than Words and Wholehearted.  I believe that's about the only two acoustic songs in their entire catalog.  Otherwise, they rock hard.  Like me.

They were. But haven’t been in a long time. All that stupid shit they did is awful. Dude, elevator, crazy, crying, the dumb ass Armageddon song and on and on. I can’t wipe that crap from my memory.
