Post by: Snaggletiger on January 23, 2020, 04:47:35 PM: Evan McGuire (https://247sports.com/Player/Evan-McGuire-46086394) grew up loving Auburn and attending games at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Now, he'll be kicking for the Tigers.
McGuire, a standout place-kicker/punter from Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson, has committed to Auburn. McGuire does not hold a scholarship offer from the Tigers, meaning he would start his career as a preferred walk-on. But he could earn a scholarship fairly early if things go well.
"PWO with plans to earn a scholarship," he told Auburn Undercover. "Iâ€™m very excited to be an Auburn Tiger!"

McGuire made the decision to attend Auburn after taking official visits to Georgia State and Chattanooga. Both schools had offered him scholarships.
