Title: He Keek Dee Ball
Post by: Snaggletiger on January 23, 2020, 04:47:35 PM
Evan McGuire (https://247sports.com/Player/Evan-McGuire-46086394) grew up loving Auburn and attending games at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Now, he'll be kicking for the Tigers.
McGuire, a standout place-kicker/punter from Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson, has committed to Auburn. McGuire does not hold a scholarship offer from the Tigers, meaning he would start his career as a preferred walk-on. But he could earn a scholarship fairly early if things go well.
"PWO with plans to earn a scholarship," he told Auburn Undercover. "I’m very excited to be an Auburn Tiger!"

McGuire made the decision to attend Auburn after taking official visits to Georgia State and Chattanooga. Both schools had offered him scholarships.

I love this because Bama, for all their pageantry and glory, can't even get a kicker in their back yard to walk on there. I expect Saban will start pushing for rule changes eliminating kicks altogether.

Combine this news with the new long snapper news and that makes for one great week for coach, um...who coaches the special teams?

I heard they have halted production momentarily because of equipment malfunction.

That's an unfair play.
