Denmark on Tuesday publicly committed to the Tigers just three days after attending the program's recruit picnic. It was at that event where the 6-feet-4, 225-pound McLaughlin, the No. 13 pro-style quarterback and No. 268 overall recruit nationally in the 247Sports rankings, gave Auburn coach Gus Malzahn (https://247sports.com/Coach/Gus-Malzahn-17) and offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham (https://247sports.com/Coach/Kenny-Dillingham-3893) a silent pledge.

I heard about the commit from our local sports talk goobs, both Bahmers. They said at least 3 times that this is a long time for Auburn to try and hold on to this kid and how despite the fact that he said he is 100% to Auburn and is shutting down his recruitment....well, he's just a 15 year old and who knows what goes on in the mind of young kids, blah, blah, blah...flip...drivel.

I don't see Nix leaving. Probably gonna go down like this. Gatewood gets starting job. After some ill advised screw ups, Nix takes over. Gatewood finishes out season "fully supporting" Nix because they are "great friends". Season ends...Gatewood to transfer portal.
