Title: So what will you be doing instead of watching Auburn-Ole Miss Saturday?
Post by: The Six on October 19, 2018, 10:32:26 AM
I'm gonna get the Honda serviced. Maybe go to Home Depot. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

I'll watch.  I always do.  Funny how this time, I'm glad it's an 11:00 a.m. game so we can get it over with and move on to better things.

This is also what I'm doing tomorrow.  Brunswick Stew.  Although, no Texas Pete's Hot Sauce.  Only Frank's for me.

Recipe from Griffin Bufkin and Harrison Sapp of Southern Soul Barbecue (http://www.southernsoulbbq.com/) in St. Simons Island, Georgia

I will be watching as well.  Although I am really struggling with this game.

I believe Gus might be gone if we lose (at the end of the year) but I would never ever want Auburn to lose or cheer against them.  However, I want the ass face out of our program.

This is also what I'm doing tomorrow.  Brunswick Stew.  Although, no Texas Pete's Hot Sauce.  Only Frank's for me.

Ingredients
    • 1/2 lb. salted butter
    • 3 cups (2 large) finely diced sweet onions
    • 2 tbsp. minced garlic
    • 2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    • 1 tbsp. freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 tbsp. sea salt
    • 1/4 cup high-quality Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/2 cup North Carolina vinegar barbecue sauce
    • 1 cup sweet mustard-based barbecue sauce
    • 3 lbs. meat (preferably smoked)
    • 2 quarts crushed fresh tomatoes or high-quality canned tomatoes
    • 2 cups coarsely chopped fresh tomatoes
    • 1 quart fresh shucked sweet yellow or white corn (frozen in a pinch)
    • 1 quart fresh baby butter beans (frozen in a pinch)
    • 2 quarts homemade chicken stock
    • Texas Pete Hot Sauce

Preparation
  • In a good-size cast-iron Dutch oven or stockpot, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add diced onions, then garlic, and sweat until translucent, about 15 minutes.
  • Stir in cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, and Worcestershire. Simmer for 6–8 minutes, then add barbecue sauces and meat to the pot (you want to completely cover the meat with the sauces), and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes, corn, and beans, stir in chicken stock, and let it all simmer for a few hours over medium heat, adding more stock to thin if needed.
  • Southern Soul co-owners Griffin Bufkin and Harrison Sapp like to add ten shakes of Texas Pete to the pot and stir that in, but you can add your favorite cayenne pepper sauce to taste.
  • Plate up with saltines or warm buttermilk cornbread. A specialty winter warmer ale or a Beaujolais pairs well with the stew’s big, earthy flavors.

Now I'm REALLLLLLLY hungry. Sounds tasty.

I'd rather have a face full of fine ass than watch this clown coach this team again. Yes, I picked Auburn to win. Mostly because I think Ole Miss is garbage.

Want him gone ASAP just don't understand why Auburn has to look like the evil, crazed employer and Malzahn the abused victim. He's ultra-wealthy beyond his wildest dreams.

Get out ahead of this, salvage the roster and incoming class. Better days ahead without this rigid, Captain Queeg of a high school football coach.

Next multi-millionaire up!

My insider knowledge has all but dried up, but a second/third hand source told me earlier today that Gus has taken over control of the offense this week.

The guy should know.

Not sure if this indicates total control but a spotter like Lindsey upstairs may or might not be an improvement for a guy doing it on gut instinct like Gus. Petrino ie. might have a spotter which he reacts to accordingly, to a certain receiver in that quadrant of the field.

Then again he might just wing it.

Yeah cause that has worked out well for us in the past.

Think about it though. Gut instinct guy takes over and actually pays some mind to another overpaid employee (or spotter) and shit starts working properly.  Doesn't matter because I never want to see the sunofabitch on an Auburn sideline again but it corrects the assinine play calling we all have grown to hate and expect.

Sleeping soundly. When I wake up, I'll glance at the college football scoreboard and see who won. I'm so glad it's a 11am game. I wonder if we'll start playing our games during the week with the D-List broadcasters.

Maybe they will let AU bring back those Tuesday night games.
