Tuberville steps down at Cincinnati.

"After much thought and reflection, I have decided to step down and resign from my position here at the University of Cincinnati. I want to thank the board of trustees, the administration, the fans and the University for these last four years. I also want to thank our coaches, staff and anyone associated within our athletic department. Most of all, I will miss these players but know these young men will turn out to be outstanding leaders in the world and for me that is what it’s all about. I am not done coaching and I look forward to my next challenge. Go Bearcats! And to that one fan? You go to hell.â€
Tuberville recently said he hoped to become an athletic director once he got out of coaching.
All I want to know is where was THIS guy when it happened?

And is he worried?
I'd take Tuberville as AD.
-
Hell to the yes for Tubby as AD
-
Yes. Someone get on the phone. Now.
-
But wouldn't his agent always be pimping him out for other AD jobs? :sarcasm:
-
Do we know somebody with a private jet we could go visit him in?

I like Tubs and all, but it's time Auburn got out of the good ole boy business. He'd be better than Jacobs but we need our own draining of the swamp.

He's not part of the good old boy crew. That's why a lot of us like him. When they, like vultures, encircled him he probably became too insular. Too reliant on his own small inner circle and maybe too mistrustful of those outside it.
You want for swamp drained? Thomas Hawley Tuberville knows every inch of it, is familiar with every lurking gator and snake, and would be perhaps the only man with the means and motive to pull the plug on it.
He ran one of the cleanest most disciplined programs in the country while everybody else was cheating. Lot to be said for that.
But he's not coming.

Serious Clark?
He's the antithesis of the good ole boy network at auburn. Were you under a rock between 99-2006? And I am by no means a huge tubs fan as a coach. But I think he's got the goods to be a great AD.
-
Can I ask why he would make a good AD? I know that anything is better than Jacobs, but has he ever had real experience dealing with all that an AD has to deal with?

He's seen it done wrong.

No!

He's seen it done wrong.
And seen it done right (housel).
He's a ceo type. That's how he has evolved since being a defensive guru at Miami.

Why?
Why not!
-
Why?
Why not!
Your Delta Tau Chi name is Pinto.

Well, hells bells, that makes me a head coach then. :bus:
