Good guys up 7-3
However
That was a bullshit call on Davis, might as well take the pads off and subsitute pink tutus.
It's football assholes, not goddamned ballet.
Another observation who the hell are these 2 idiots doing the games, dumbasses don't even
have a clue who's playing, Ole Miss is not on the field morons.

Man I hope that holds up. But we need a good showing all the same with the committee scrutinizing this poor half.

Yeah they attached "the fumble that wasn't" to the touchdown pass.
And still going on about it ten minutes later.

Unreal, was that 3 holding calls on that one series, wonder if these tards are going to call at least one on the dolts.  So far our defensive ends have been horse collared, jerseys yanked damned near off and no calls.
Next series of downs we need to start taking out some of these idiots.

Its probably a good thing I'm not the coach.

Watching from Doha, Qatar on my way to Joburg.
Extremely glad to get out of that one. Anybody that calls for JF3 will be assaulted with a red hot poker!

SW makes a huge difference. If he and Pettway go down, we are done.

Time to get rid of the perpetual prevent defense!

We need all hands on deck for Georgia.  Pettway included.

Horribly thin crowd again today.  The students just aren't participating.  Less of them today than at Arky.  Embarrassing.  Otherwise, a loud, boisterous crowd.  Overall, I'm happy with the win.  We're more dinged up than people think.

Had White started, that wouldn't have been a game.  He's soooo much better than JFXIIV6.  Vandy knew we couldn't/wouldn't pass with his 112 lb. ass in there.

We missed White, Tray Williams, Tony Stevens, Andrew Williams, Deshaun Davis etc.  And folks, if you were at the game, we had 5 holding calls that killed drives.  Let me say that this is not orange and blue BS.  The call on Kozan was a no brainer.  The other 4 were as bad as have ever been called in a foosballz game.  Then, I heard them (Stan White) say the head of officials was in the house.  Bama grad.  Malzahn was going nuts.  After one of the calls, he actually ran down to Jay Jacobs and had a quick pow wow.  There was no doubt that he was asking if it was cool to get a huge fine because he was about to cut a bitch.

Ideally, you'd want to use him like Peppers at UM but he seems so skiddish when he's on the field. Speed is incredible but he's looking more and more like a turnover machine and a liability.

As sad as it is, I was hoping that if White really could't go we'd replace Franklin with Johnson.

I've never, ever, ever, ever, ever been on the Franklin train.  I didn't and still don't want to see him on the field.  Just my opinion, which is worth more than can be quantified, but signing him in the first place was a mistake and contributed to the mental deterioration that helped ruin Johnson.

Agree totally. Jf3 should never be a full time option. Only in select series and packages. Johnson would have been a better option as mind fucked as he is. He can at least pass when he's on it and vandy wouldn't have been able to load the box in the first half. Vandy had to have been laughing their asses off at how awful jf3 was. They could have put 9 guys in the box and been ok.

If we were running the read option Nick Marshall offense, then yes, JF3 or maybe Woody Barrett, would be the best option.

That's pretty much all they had him running yesterday.  Only threw 4 passes.  The kid is quick,  But he's too small, apparently can't throw it very well and he can't hold on to the ball.

And we were down 13-10 to Vanderbilt. 2 quarters of football - his time to shine - and we had 9 passing yards and under 150 rushing. The offense was stymied and it took Dirty White Boy to come in after the break to save our ass.

If JFIII was the starter for this team, we'd be damn lucky to have 3 wins.

Not that it matters going forward but:
Frankin isn't reading or keying anything. He just hands off until a lane large enough for a truck opens on the backside. That isn't a "read" but it serves a guy well that is small and full of fear. Nothing against the kid he's just in the wrong league.

That's what I saw...so, why did Lashlee offer him after one game? I'm kinda worried about the QB position going forward...I wasn't worried about it at the start of he season, but watching JF3 play...we have Sean White aaand that's it. Apparently Woody Barrett is absolutely horrible. One thing, regarding Sean White, what the fuck is the deal with the way he throws the medium to deep ball? Strangest delivery I've ever seen.

It's the Chris Todd duck-and-chuck.  Often employed by QBs with average arm strength to shot-put the ball down the field.  Ugly, but can be effective.

I think that's an urban legend spawned by a tv show.  It wasn't as though RL had never heard of the kid and just showed up at EMCC with an offer in hand should he be impressed.  They had been recruiting JF3 for a while prior to that game.

I agree but through all that time they still went for him? Did they not see the issues with his lack of arm? Once again, I have serious questions about this staff's ability to evaluate offensive talent - particularly QBs.

I think maybe they looked at his arm strength and that God awful footwork thinking they could fix it but there are 11 year olds with better mechanics. Might be better to just let him do shallow rollouts since he should be meshing anyway... that's if you can get the heebie jeebies out of him. He makes me nervous just standing on the sidelines.

What's funny to me is Franklin is exactly the same as Jalen Hurts.  Their skill sets are almost identical.  Both can run a little bit.  Neither can throw the ball with any degree of accuracy despite having big arms.  Both consistently make poor decisions.

The only difference is that Franklin isn't protected by a roided up offensive line that's allowed to hold with impunity.   Franklin doesn't have a defense with a collective IQ of 18 and a pill-fueled rage that provides him a score or two in most games.

You put JalenTurds in as AU Qb and he'd be just as shitty as Franklin.   You stick Franklin in theirs?  He's going to look as good or better than that diddle-brained dripwad.

Nyoop. Can't agree with you here. I think Hurts is for real. He's not a Chad Kelly passer but he's more of a QB than Franklin. He's 100X the QB Franklin is. The kid is the best QB in the league, imo. Maybe not passing wise but overall.

I'd take him over Kelly or the Hog QB.

Chad Kelly is a tremendous talent. Allen's pretty damn good also. Hurt's can't make the kind of throws that they can, and he's a coaches son.

All I know is we need to stop him from running wide, same as LSU's plan.

When the refs get tired of them not scoring and allow them to grab people in choke holds and turn them back to the sideline?   Then he'll cut inside like he did against LSU.

I could have made his "amazing" run if Scarborough is allowed to take the DE and just bear hug him.

The DE, who had containment and was supposed to force Hurts  to the sideline, instead gets turned sideways (illegally) opening up a mile wide cut back crevasse.  Why?  Because the LSU defense was flowing to the sideline to cut him off, not knowing that UA was going to be allowed to blatantly cheat.

There's also a serious hold on Arden Key behind Hurts which allowed him to maneuver out of the pocket, but that's just part of it.

Yeah, LSU overpursued a little.  Beckwith and Riley were both a step and a lean past where they needed to be to plug the lane.  But they wouldn't have been in that situation if the hold on Neal, the DE, wasn't so egregious.

Just saying that at their place when they're allowed to cheat the way they are?  Tall order.

I have no idea what the college rule is. However, I saw an NFL game a couple of weeks ago where a player did the same thing with no flag.  The only question was whether or not he touched anyone, sexually or otherwise.  I would have to imagine the rule is the same since everybody, including the refs and God, saw clearly what he did.

As long as defender does not use a player as a leaping board or land on another teams player it is a legal play to jump over. He didn't touch anyone therefore no flag

...as opposed to the FG attempt last night in the MNF game between the Bills and Seahawks where Richard Sherman clearly made no effort to block the ball and simply çrashed into the kicker's plant foot.

Can't post video but it's the focus of discussion for those who watch NFL; bitch about officiating (horribly inept), gamble on sports (game fell 6, line 6-) or feel as if it's inching closer and closer to professional rasslin' as an entertainment business.

*and this
Sherman regularly discusses the league and its failures most recently pointing out the lack of concern for player safety.

also: His defense is that he plays until the whistle blows which is a valid defense.
