They never gave a good explanation that I heard. My thoughts are that when Carasone ran out of the baseline, the 2nd basegirl didn't try to complete the double play. She instead threw to 2nd base to try and still get Carasone. I think if she would have made the attempt at the tag and then threw to 1st, it would have been ruled a double play. But her only play was on Carasone.
Seems logical in my mind.

Yeah. The UGA second baseman blew it. If she would have thrown to first after the runner left the baseline, it would have been a DP. But she threw to second to get a runner that was already out anyway.

FSU bounced Michigan in a pitchers duel. We split the two game series with the Noles during the regular season, so it should be an interesting game.

I can see the strikes right on the edge being hit or miss, but this guy was ignoring solid strikes. It seems it was only for this pitcher. Maybe her delivery is just that odd. But every time i watch her, the ball seems to be delivered in the same spot, high and outside. Those FSU girls were picking up on that too.
But once again, the bats did the work. These girls can play.
Gone are the days of bammer hogs knocking the ball out and blubbering around the bases.

Good news is it appears that the Oklahoma pitchers arm was starting to show wear there at the end. Hopefully that bodes well for tomorrow. She's pitched almost 1000 pitches the last two weeks. Including pitching everyday since Thursday. She has to be tired now.
That said, Oklahoma is a solid team. Not much weakness.

Hard to argue with what has worked so far. Pitching Davis was smart. She was hungry and did a really good job. The bottom of order is a bunch of slap hitters who usually get the other team to make mistakes. OU does not make a lot of mistakes. Counting today, 28 errors on the season. 2nd best defense ever.
Should be another good game tomorrow. Hopefully OUs pitcher is done!

Not the point. If your next batter is a good hitter, you don't sacrifice a run especially with no outs. If they are batting below .300, then maybe you do. With 1 out, yes its auto. With two outs, everybody knows what coming.

A strong part of the lineup was currently batting and coming up. The bottom part had just went so....with snags on this one. And even further to chase a 2-0 pitch that wasn't good. There was a lot of chasing bad pitches by our gals the last two innings last night. :facepalm:

K is right. It was context. She is the 3rd string player at that position and they asked him about that and the errors. And some other words. I had no issue with it. Myers is a stone cold killer. Man has ice water in the veins.

I think the biggest dagger was when we got bases loaded with no outs, and wasn't able to push a run across. Five hits and one run equals crap pushed in for our offense IMO.

I still say the bases loaded with no outs being squandered was more critical. With a pitcher like Parker you don't get that scenario very often so you have to pounce when has the rare mess up. And we didn't.
We still only gave up 2 runs the whole game even with the errors. That should win 90% of games. The bats are to blame for this one.
