Title: NFL Draft Tonight
Post by: Snaggletiger on April 30, 2015, 11:15:17 AM
Who will watch?  I usually catch most of the opening night or at least keep flipping back to it to see who went where.  Does Sammie go in the first?  Where does Cameroon Artimus Pyle get picked?  Does someone take an early shot at N. Marshall with his versatility?

Like I said, I usually watch some of it and yeah, I think the first day of the Draft is pretty keen.  But, has this become the most over-hyped event in all of sports?  Think about it.  Since tOSU raised the trophy, it has been non-stop, every single day, wall-to-wall hype and coverage.  First, it was the combine, which I get to a certain extent. But come on.  At no point in a game, will an offensive lineman need to do a 40 yard dash.  And at no point in any game will any player be required to perform a standing long jump.  Every day, it's someone else's mock draft.  Every day for months, it's a new show breaking down the draft.  It's Chuckie going one on one with every potential draftee.  It's a panel of former players grilling them later.

Just stop already so we can get this thing going and Chris Berman can spend the next 48 hours trying to be cute and funny.

I won't watch just out of sheer hate.

I don't think I've ever hated a player more than I despise Jabooboo Winston. I hate the way he looks. I hate the way he acts.  I hate his sense of entitlement. I think he's a fucking clown.  It disgusts me that Auburn allowed that baboon to throw a touchdown pass at the end to beat us in the NC game.  I loathe the motherfucker.

I used to like FSU.  Watching frog-faced Jimbo's high-pitched voice defense of this yammering cum gargler has made me hate the Semi-Noles, too.  Fuck Jimbo.  What a piece of rancid shit he is.  If there were justice in the world, Jabooni would have tied Jimbo's wife up like a hog and jammed a broomstick up her twat. Then he would have skeeted in the kid's faces.   Let Jimbo defend that.  What's nauseating is that bag of turd weeds would have too.  No fucking morals or dignity at all.

I will be the first to say that if Jabooney had suited up for Auburn I'd feel the same way.  I hate the bastard.

If he goes to Tampa, I hope he fails on a Jamarcus Russell level.  I hope he's tasered as he prepares to rape yet another woman and as a result of the tasering is unable to play football ever again.  That mentally deficient pile of marmoset scat isn't capable of working the counter at a McDonalds.  I hope he ends up working as a janitor's assistant in Hueytown.  I'd make it a point to go there several times a year to point and laugh at his ignorant ass.

Fuck him.

That means Tre is on his way out...most likely.  Bottom line is you don't draft a player and pay him 1st round, top 10 money and sit him behind anybody. Would love to see him come to the Falcons.  (Save the ATL hate) They suck at RB and I really believe if he gets his chance to be an every down back, he's gonna' have one hell of a career.

"NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Eagles offered two first-round picks, a third-round pick, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, linebacker Mychal Kendricks, cornerback Brandon Boykin and “more” to the Titans." - Idiots. This must be what it feels like to have been a Raiders fan the last 15 years. SMH

Indianapolis still has defensive needs but they bought their ace QB another major target signaling that they are going to dare people to stop them from scoring a lot of points. Give credit to the Colts for taking care of their QB. Meanwhile, Carolina drafted another linebacker because, you know, they don't have enough of those. Cam is gonna have to spin gold out of hay. Won't be surprised if he's elsewhere after this season.

Listen, coming from a guy who knows about average QB play, Nick Marshall wasn't a good QB. Malzhan is a system coach who is fantastic at offense. One of the keys to him being so good is the fact that he has players running wide ass open on 60% of his passing plays. The fact that Marshall couldn't pass for 3000 yards in a season under Malzhan is telling.  Jeremy Johnson will, 2 times. But Marshall benefitted from having outstanding big outstanding receivers. Otherwise, his deep balls were either way over thrown or just a prayer once he let it go.

This is pretty much the shared opinion of the experts on Malzahn's offenses. Really like having JJ in there to get us out of those bad quarters we went through, some back to back where we seem to lose our way. We always have the Wildcat at our disposal should we care to be predictable. Jason Campbell had established runners around his game and I'm hoping JJ will exhibit more fire as a leader on the field whereas Campbell almost seemed too reserved emotionally possibly due to having Brown and Williams back there. And I can see where Marshall benefited though I don't necessarily think his raw football talent is far off some of the recent past high round NFL picks that haven't translated well on the field. He can't make all the required throws but if a team should have use for a multipurpose player NM might be one that makes it... just maybe in the CFL.

Biggest surprise was Reese Dismukes not being drafted because of "character" issues and worries that he couldn't get along with certain part of the lockerroom. The thought police violations will follow a white person forever. Never forget that. He signed as UFA with the Steelers. Not sure where he fits in there.

In the NFL's defense, you can't allow a guy who has never raped a woman or 2, shoplifted, or beat up a woman into the league. Doing so would change the locker room environment and cause dissention among the players who earned their way into the league through the combination of athletic skill and criminal mayhem.

Well, he did call Foster a nagger for recruiting guys to go to Tuscaloosa with him while on an official to AU. Only Trooper Taylor was allowed to call Reuben a nagger. I think it was contractual, so, it's understandable. Dismukes is a terrible kid and Foster has overcome a troubled youth to be a shining example of what kind of upstanding young men Saban produces.

Just deal with it.
