I didn't realize that anyone could be as delusional as Alabama fans and have less accomplishments.

Well they are really good, considering they've only had a football team since I think the early 2000's. And I think Billy Graham is their head coach, so they take a rather non-violent approach to the game.

I just hope we don't overlook them.  UTEP looked really solid against Tech, and I could easily see us looking forward to trying to prevent that from becoming a real slobberknocker.

So they are over looking us because they face UTEP.

Did no one see the hurting the Fighting Former Chizzikians put on them?  If Iowa St had not choked it away in the end, they were kicking some ass.  The Roll Schnyders were going down.

Here's hoping we are as good as Iowa State.

I will be there in person and will be very upset if things do not go my way.

I just wish we would have played this game last week and had ISU next Thurs.  Quite honestly, we could have used the Auburn game as a warm up and could have really used the extra time to get more prepared for ISU.
...
They haven't played in front of a crowd like ours before.
...
I hope Coach Snyder has his boys focused on this game and not the UTEP game ahead.
...
Coach Synder scheduled them so that he could get his backup players more playing time & rest the starters to get ready for the Playoff.
...
The SEC runs a slower pace, similar to the Big10.
...
Saban didn't want to schedule Synder, 'cause he knew that he'd have to face him twice, regular season and in the Playoff.

If the Kansas State fans are actually thinking this, they're in for a rude awakening.

Someone should post this quote over there...

Quote
So far, it was so good for Auburn, said defensive tackle Gabe Wright.

"A bye week, you have to be even more locked in," Wright said. "To be honest, I feel like we took advantage of this open week.

"Guys are going to get a little rest tomorrow. Saturday, a couple of guys will get together and watch the other games. But, for the most part, Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday went really well. We got our base packages done. We did start game planning for Kansas State."

I think a large amount of this conjecture is based on the homefield advantage at BSFS.  The noise is something Auburn isn't used to and can't effectively be reproduced.

Exactly. It's a little like the Wopussy. If you are taking those guys seriously, you need to update your sarcasm filter.

The Auburn fans over there are making us look pretty stupid. Reminds me of when David went to the Arkansas boards.
Title: Re: K-State

In all seriousness, I highly doubt any Auburn player is looking past KSU and would highly doubt KSU players are looking past Auburn. I sort of see the same as the Arkansas game with a close first half and AU wearing that ass down with the run game in the second half. However, I don't think KSU has a real run threat but apparently their QB is pretty good. I'm thinking the sooner the D-Line puts the dude on his back the better.

Yeah, I didn't want to be the one to piss on the parade here about how dumb they iz for thinking they were going to sail past the reigning SEC champion/National Championship participants/current #5 team in the country and look ahead and focus on UTEP.

Granted, some of the cousin fucking stuff is funny coming from them considering they're in fucking Kansas. An entire state with nothing but desolate farm country.

That CHB guy over there is an embarrassment.

Wish someone would step the sarcastic troll game up over there so as not to validate their stereotypes of "stupid southerners".

But seriously, I'd be all satire to if the school I cheered for had the history of sucking ass like KSU. The only Auburn sport that I can equate with how historically bad KSU football has been is Auburn basketball. Lord knows with Bruce Pearl now the coach, Auburn basketball will soon be far superior.

You're talking about a people with NO culture outside of wheat and the Wizard of Oz.

And their accent and women are both the world's ugliest. No joke.

Some fun facts and a little perspective on the little shitheads from Nowheresville, Oz:

- K State has an all time record of 494-620 AFTER their living god arrived and his few spurts of winning.  299-510 before his arrival. Shitty either way.
- K State became the first D1 program to lose 500 games (in 1989).
- When Snyder first took over, K State was 0-26-1 in their last 27 games.
- In an SI Article, K State was once labeled Futility U and "America's Most Hapless Team".
- Snyder and K State collectively have a 7-10 bowl record <snicker>
- Even in the shitty Big 8/12 (whatever you want to call that dumpster fire), their god of a head coach has 2, count em 2 - conference titles since 1989. And we thought Mark Richt was bad.
- 50,000 seat "stadium" thats not much bigger than some HS FB Stadiums in Tx, Al and Ga.  :taunt:
- 38 of his current 73 wins against current Big 12 foes are against just Iowa State and Kansas.
- Good thing Nebraska, Mizzou and Aggy left because they owned him - 15-31 mark against those teams.
- Do they even have black people in Kansas or on their team? I mean, I know they have some nearby that they like to shoot in the street unarmed.

I must say that I have great respect for the gentleman and think that he brings out many great points in his description, although, I think that the photographic evidence disproves this one particular point in his discourse. After being bored enough to read some more of that shit, I do think they truly believe the Big XII to be superior top to bottom to the SEC. They believe the SEC's dominance is purely media hype.

Granted, it's obvious that they are fucking around with about 90% of it, but I really get the sense that they're pretty confident and they really do think the SEC is extremely overrated. It appears that they expect to win in a shootout, and there is basically no chance that we blow them out by two touchdowns or more.

For example, I don't think this guy is being satirical at all:
Quote
Books might bait all the SEC-SEC-SEC lemmings at 7.5, but I doubt it's much over that if at all. Most outside the  SEC-SEC-SEC realize what a fluke the barners were last year & how evenly matched these teams really are.  The best team in your overhyped league got absolutely skull-mumped by OU in the Sugar, NU (a mediocre big 10 team) handled Georgia pretty easily and y'all needed MIRACLES at home to beat both. Talk to me about giving up 21 to piggy AT HOME . They're worse than Iowa State.

However, the proper response to that stuff is pity, not the "Nuh uh, our dicks' bigger" responses I see over there.

As GH pointed out:

Quote
50,000 seat "stadium" that's not much bigger than some HS FB Stadiums in Tx, Al and Ga.  :taunt:

They guy that gave us his tickets warned us that we would be climbing "pretty high" up in the stadium.

I snickered.

The equivalent location in JHS is the very top of the student section.  We seat more in our lower deck than they do in their entire stadium.  Hell, we had half again as many folks at our spring game as their entire capacity.

And check this al.cum headline:   "Auburn preparing for Kansas State, 'the toughest place to play in the Big 12' "

That's like saying "the sexiest grandma over the age of 95".

The article cracks me right the hell up:
Quote
The seating capacity at Bill Snyder Family Stadium is 50,000, but crowds usually surpass capacity. Attendance has eclipsed 53,000 five times and seven of the top 10 crowds in school history have occurred over the last two seasons. :taunt:

"This will likely be our greatest attended game ever," Kansas State athletics director John Currie told the Wichita Eagle. "We actually have not sold standing room-only tickets, because we know our student section will be as full as it has ever been that night. Student attendance is highest on weekdays."

The smallest SEC crowd Auburn played in front of last season (Arkansas, 66,385) far surpasses the attendance at Kansas State games, but K-State picks up recognition from players in the Big 12 as one of the toughest places to play in the conference.

If it's a family stadium, guess it's a good thing most of the X won't be there.  Can't say as how we are what you might call "fambly friendly".

After beating the spread 13 consecutive games, Auburn opens at only -9.5 favorites.

Bet the house, the farm, your horse-drawn carriage, and your sheepwife on Auburn.
Line dropped to -8.5. Delusional Big XIIers are are probably going to continue to drop it all week.

I am not wise in the way of teh bettins, but Sammie is supposed to be back for this game.  Would that change things?  Or are you saying he is NOT supposed to be back even though they said he would and THAT changes things?

This is why I don't do teh bettins.

Lawd have mercy, the KSU butthurt is really breaking through now. This website is looking more and more like a TN Vol forum now.

They are more than welcome to join the X.

At least Tenn has some sustained history. You know, like several nattys and conf titles. I mean who the fuck is KSU? Oh thats right - until the Old Fossil showed up in 1989 - the worst team in D1 history, thats who. F them.

I think I figured out one of their other claims. Apparently, they don't know what the word racist means. Like, at all.

After this week, I can truly say I hope Auburn kicks their ass worse than I wish for a good game. The satire soon after Auburn fans showed up on their site. Funny thing is, it is not satire that supports their claims of tomorrow nights outcome.

Quit playing their game. You're too good for that. They can only stoop to name calling and making fun of the south because they don't have any real football ammo to use in a real debate.

It's like calling someone gay or racist. Although, you could try that and see how it works.

Ok, its time to weigh this shit out NOW:

K-State - 3 missed fgs (one was long and not a given anyway), a fumble lost, 2 INTs (one in redzone)

Auburn - lots of getting held/blocked in back/0 penalties, 3 tipped balls 1 resulting in an INT, 3 dropped balls on big passes, at least 3 overthrows on wide open WR's.

The overthrows and fg misses are possibly a product of the same thing - the 18 mph wind.

Any of those overthrows or dropped balls dont happen, its a different game. But they did happen. Woulda coulda shoulda. I don't like to play the coulda game because its UGA-ish to do so, but if they want to go there, its the truth. How many plays did their QB and that little shit WR make because a play was extended by a hold allowed his little squirmy ass to run around in circles until he got open? How many good returns did Locket have because our guys were getting blocked in the back on numerous occasions? And last time I checked, INTs and Fumbles can be caused by playing good solid physical D. The one was somewhat of a fluke bouncing off the KSU WR, but the others were heads up plays.

F Emaw. We got their best. They got our worst. Both sides missed oppoortunities and we still came out ahead on the road. Again...fuck em.

Yeah, but there is no telling them that. They had already sold out in their mind before the game even started. Regardless if the game would have been squeaky clean, they would have still said AU was lucky more than likely.

I like this test for AU. If there was one little tiny drop of complacency, I'm betting this game disposed of it for both the players and coaches. I'm one who thinks this may very well be what Auburn needed to be more successful the rest of the season.

A few non-game related comments about the experience in The Little Apple.

- Folks were country nice.  Friendly and genuine. Lots of mutual love on teh Twatters today about how we put our best foot forward as the kind of guests they would welcome back. Even their PD tweeted that they had ZERO incidents post game.

- They stayed to the bitter end.  No trudging for the exits even when we hit victory formation. Gotta give them props for that.

-It was SOOOOOOO not loud. Srsly. If that is supposed to be intimidating, um, yeah, thanks for playing. We pipe in noise at practice that's louder than that place.

- Manhattan is in the middle of fucking nowhere and that is not an exaggeration.  It was 2 1/2 hrs from KC, MO and a 20 drive up Bill Snyder Highway (no kidding).  NOTHINGNESS.  It is a tiny little town too, smaller than Auburn.  Probably lots of sheep tipping for fun on weekends, I'm sure. (No cows, just sheep everywhere)

- Snyder is a GOD there. He's a nice guy equivalent of Sabinz.

- That stadium is a DUMP. Reminded me of the later years of Legion Field. Their equivalent of an upper deck is WAAAAAYYY far from the field. The down and distance numbers on their "Jumbotron" were unreadable. Too tiny. And the screen is not HD. There was also one - ONE - small ladies room for the entire half of the upper deck.  With 8 stalls.

- One bonus - they let you go in and out of the stadium at any time with your ticket stub. And since the stadium is an easy walk to, well, everywhere, that could have been a bad thing. But these folks are not heavy drinking types. I was tipsy when I headed in, and was an anomaly.  Can you imagine if we could leave JHS and re-enter?  Dayum.  Or LSU?  What a drunk fest that would be.

Overall, I give it a "C". Facilities suck ass but the folks were nice. I doubt I'd go back - too expensive and too hard to get to. Very glad we pulled out a win. The team did seem to be going they the motions. I was like someone else said - just wanted it to be over. Glad it's behind us - real SEC football coming soon.

He sounds like another bammer or he writes what he's told to write...can't let it be known that KSU's avg starting position was on Auburn's 5 yard line thanks to the no block in back or clipping calls. Whatever helps the bammers sleep at night. I thought it was funny that some bammers are laughing at Auburn fans for being happy about beating a ranked team. I asked them how long has it been since uat beat a ranked team on the road, I even gave them a hint (over a year ago).
bama fans had better hope that UF doesn't stop their screen passes or slow down their running game, because it might be a fun game to watch.
