Anyone ever hear Chris Davis request that his name be pronounced thusly?  The announcers during the Chargers game kept going with the bizarro pronunciation.

Probably assumed a 22 year old black football player couldn't have a name as vanilla as Chris Davis and embellished.

I heard that and wondered what in the hell was going on. I was just glad he didn't drop any punts.

Did he play defense at all?

Actually he pronounced it like Davies.

I bet the announcers pronounce Arby's Ar-bays and Target Tar-jhay.
