You also have to know what to do with javascript and some other things to protect yourself. Also don't go fucking around with anything involving your own personal information.
The Deep Web is retarded, and the reputation that it has developed is even more retarded. If you go snooping around it, you're likely to stumble upon CP or other illegal activity. Everything else is boring.
Though when I used it I never saw the CP. I did peruse the Silk Road for a while though.

Your sarcasm meter must be off. I was the one that posted the articles about Freedom Hosting getting shutdown by the zero day exploit in java that the FBI used that when you exited Tor it followed you to your normal firefox browser and then they scooped up your info.
