Agree. Hoping for a strong finish but still pissed for not locking on to several DTs and ILBs that we so desperately need. Hard to understand why we have such little interest from high profile types at those positions.

Meanwhile Texas A&M (on the success of Sumlin /JF)  has 26 WRs and 39 LB verbal commits and we are relegated to scavenging teamates from the same schools in Florida. Guess the Florida schools are booked up.

Don't think we need to be concerned about Malzahn's HUNH recruiting offensive players if we can add the right QB every other year or so but there is no reason for Auburn to ever be this weak defensively, especially in the front seven.

BTW,  haven't heard anymore about WR Wilson, LB Cunningham.

Ole Miss...like I've said before, they'll be the next SEC program to be hit by the NCAA, they jumped ahead of Miss St, Vanderbilt and uat.

A couple of recruiting, non-recruiting notes I was reading earlier.  Looks like we have a better than average shot at Bayside Academy LB, Jonathon Walton.  6'1" 227 who has been a Penn State commit for a while but said this weekend he's going to play in the SEC.  Offers from us, USCe, UT and Ole Miss.  122 tackles as a senior and rushed for 402 yards on 41 carries.

Senior Bowl weigh-ins.  McProne is playing in his 3rd straight All Star game.  Weighed in at 164.  Claims he was 174 last week but the "travel" caused him to lose weight. (Tripped over the scales while stepping down)  Lutzenfruchen-inator was 255 but measured out at 6'3".  AU listed him at 6'5".  DJ Fucker was 6'4' 355 pounds.

I heard he's the best athlete to come from Bayside since Albert Clifford Slater.

Couldn't play both at Auburn, because Barbee is already full up on talented tall guys.

I knew as soon as I heard he wanted to play basketball, we were out of the picture.

Maybe we'll fill his spot with De'Tackleya Smith, the big 6'1 linebacker from Eutaw, Alabama.

It's very hard to get any kind of a read from vids of any of the JC prospects (such as Nick Marshall) but I found this Hutchinson practice I'll assume is ones against ones. And the other stuff available seems to indicate K.F. can at least disengage a blocker and has explosiveness to the ball.

I think that's the point. Not a lot of hoopla with his recruitment.

Kenny ”Powers” Flowers benches and power cleans over 400lbs. Which makes him the second strongest guy on the team behind Jay Prosche.

Flowers had 95 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss as a redshirt freshman at Hutchinson. He's expected to play weakside linebacker at Auburn. Flowers will have three years of eligibility left. Flowers is a strong, physical player, once cleaning 415-pounds.

"He's got some freakish strength and ability," Hutchinson Coach Rion Rhoades said. "He could bench and clean over 400 pounds as a freshman. He's very fast, great closing speed. He's got instincts that will develop. Kenny is a smart player and has a good football IQ."

Flowers will enroll at Auburn in May.

ESPN 300 wide receiver Dominic Walker (Orlando, Fla.) made his final announcement on local radio tonight. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound senior said the decision between Nebraska and Auburn would effectively end his recruitment.

I could see Malzahn being able to land a big time running back.  Even in his worst offense of his career, he still had a thousand yard rusher.

Artis-Payne bad ass. Green reminds me of Ronnie Brown.

Do we get this guy? 3-star offensive guard Wilson Bell. He's committed to UCF.

He's got the right attitude, lol.

He pancakes folks and plays it to the whistle. Plus, he's from Dameyune Craig's HS.
