Title: AKUS
Post by: Snaggletiger on February 02, 2012, 12:58:34 PM
Had the opportunity to advance order tix for Allison Krauss and Union Station at the BJCC in April.  Just came and they're right up front and center.  Certainly not everyone's cup o' tea but I'm a big fan of a good bit of their work.  I'm really luke warm on most bluegrass, including a lot of theirs, but when they step away from that genre and go a bit more mainstream and/or do some covers, I love just about everything they do.  Dan Tyminski's (Constant Sorrow) guitar work and background vocals are incredibly unique and Jerry Douglas is considered one of the best dobro players in the world. Again, may not appeal to many of you but this is one group I've always wanted to see live.

That was conceptually the weirdest pairing I've ever heard of.  Didn't get to see any of it on TV....but they pulled it off?

Believe it or not but the TV is used for more things then COD3 and porn.

I know....right...I was surprised myself.

I think they originally did it as one of the Crossroads things. I missed it because I was watching porn, though

It must be nice for you not having to clean up.

Now see, THAT'S original.  I commend you sir.  But even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.  Not in my pants...

yada yada yada.  If your front and center I want photos.  Low angle, early morning due.  Allison Krauss is one fine woman even if she does have devil eyes.
