32 carries for 363 yards last night...

Watched some of the game last night, and Good Lord.  He is amazing.  I hope he stays committed to us.

I wanted to watch this last night.    This kid is unreal in his highlight vids.   Hopefully I can catch a replay.

Saturday morning at 11 on FSS.

I went.  The game was insane.  Never seen a high school game like it.  Jumbotrons, fireworks, flyovers... Crazy stuff.

Since this was the first thread in this forum on him......just read on Rivals today that he plans on being a December graduate and will enroll in January.  Huge if we can get him in that early and let him work with the team in the spring.  I am giddy about our situation at RB.  If our line can impove, we should be able to run at will next year.

Dyer
McCalleb
Mason
Blakey
Yeldon
Grant

and I can't remember the kids name, but there is another kid who looks the part that we are in on as well.  Robersons, Robinson?  The kid out of Memphis.

I have a feeling a few running backs may be processed next year.  Or at least moved to a new position.  Hopefully receiver.

I'm most excited about Robinson.  220 pounds and 6'1.  FINALLY some real size at the running back position.

Yeldon will be the better of the two, but with McCalebb and Mason being viable speed backs, Yeldon will probably have to wait his turn.

Yep. and Blakely I suspect will be right in the mix as well. This should be fun to watch for good team competition like this usually results in damn good football.

Some random rivals poster thinks that OMac wants to go pro after this year.  Since he has a kid and needs the money.  Said he won't get any bigger or faster if he stays another year and thinks he can make it as a punt return specialist.

The guy is full of shit imo.

MacProne needs to stay and really dedicate himself to adding about 10-15 pounds in the off season.  Every year, we hear about how he's "Beefing up".  He looks the same. Was listed at 174 coming in to this season.  I'll give the guy credit though.  While he still has times where a good strong cheesey blaster from the 22nd row will knock him off his feet, he's had plenty of other times where he's actually run hard through some tackles.  Ran hard against LSU this weekend.  At his size though, the guy just seems to take too many hard ass hits...every game.  Getting up to around 190 could make him attractive to the NFL as a special teams player or back in some passing situations.

The problem is he can't really make anyone miss. That's why he takes so many hits. He can damn sure run past someone, or outrun a defender to the sideline, but if there is a defender in good position, McCaleb looks pretty easy to tackle...

Make it,in my not so professional opinion, for maybe a pre-season before getting cut.  He will get his little ass murked in the NFL.  CFL and the way of Trey Blackmon, maybe......NFL, I just don't think OMac has it.  I love the little guy, but just being realistic.

Lionel James was a lot different than O-Mac.  There's a reason we have two freshmen returning kickoffs and another returning punts.

MacProne took one to the house last year, if I recall right.  I think the fact that these freshmen really are pretty damn good and have been solid fielding the punts and kickoffs (Other than Tre getting crushed this past weekend) there's no need to expose Onterrio and let him concentrate on his RB duties.

If McCalebb really has to start making money for his kids (think child support payments to possibly multiple baby mamas), then he may be declaring early just to get out of college with the small chance of making some dough in the NFL.

I'm sure CFL or Arena football could use him.

I'm trying to be civilized and need you girl to realize,
My higher mind runs counter to my procreative self.
Although it's not my doing, nature has its way insuring
That the species will be fruitful, no matter how I try to fight it.
God's the one who made me like this- understand I'm innocent.
The drive is stronger than I am-
I'm just a man, I'm just a man.

She means nothing to me, I swear.
I'm just pulled in two directions by the male condition.
There's no excuses, only reasons for what has brought us here.
I need to make it clear, so you can understand.
It's part of nature's plan. I'm just a man, I'm just a man...

It's hard to do the right thing, the hormones screaming, pleading-
With the need to seed and no relief because there's always more.
One hundred million daily, manufactured and ready for the journey to conception. Not unlike a loaded gun.

God's the one who made me like this- understand I'm innocent.
The drive is stronger than I am
I'm just a man, I'm just a man.

Saban made a stop at Daphne HS yesterday, but honestly, I don't see Yeldon changing his mind. I think he wants to go to AU, and I think it's their OC that is an AU alum. Really, can't remember if it's the OC or WR coach. But anyway, he's committed to AU, Daphne has an AU friendly staff, AU has got a guy from there before, and he just wants to go to AU. I wouldn't worry about him if I were yall.

Quote
Daphne (Ala.) five-star running back prospect T.J. Yeldon spoke on the phone with Gene Chizik earlier this afternoon, and Yeldon reaffirmed to Auburn's head coach his intent to enroll in January. It was the first conversation between the two since Chizik made an in-home visit Tuesday night, and first since Gus Malzahn took the head coaching position at Arkansas State. Yeldon and Chizik didn't talk long, but didn't need to. After Chizik explained more about Malzahn leaving, he asked Yeldon if he had any questions and/or feedback. Yeldon said Malzahn leaving didn't affect him, and that he remains solid to Auburn.
