They stole All In as well.

Maybe some rap star will do a song called All In and we can use it for entrance music next year.

Just picked this up.  First video game I've purchased since Red Dead came out.

I'd let you know how it is, but my PS3 is updating.

Give it time.  It's sending your username, password and credit card information to me.  Shouldn't take much longer.

You should really try Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

With bloodshot eyes I tell you that this game is badass.

How will CoD be any different from the previous CoD games?

And I haven't played any of the Battlefield games yet.  I hear the new one is better than CoD though.

They make slight changes with each new game.  The weapon upgrade system was cool and unique when they first released it, and then was still cool for another release.  Then it was still cool to see how they added different weapons, attachments, perks, killstreaks, etc. for another release or two.

Personally, I'm burned out on the series now.  Nothing's changed enough in the past few releases to keep me interested.

They tout that the killstreaks have been "redesigned."  All they've done is create three separate "packages" (support, assault, and specialist) which have different available killstreaks.  The first two give you normal killstreaks; the specialist package gives you perks as your killstreak rewards, instead of your typical killstreak rewards.

Now, they've added some new killstreaks, but nothing too far out of the ordinary that really changes the game.  There are some more air vehicles that you can get in, shoot from, and/or control, and there are some more different types of air support that you can call in, but it's all relatively the same.  The only truly new one is the juggernaut suit, which basically gives you the ability to take additional damage, and you get some specific weapons, the type of which depends upon the killstreak package you're using.  Big whoop...you basically gave me the juggernaut perk, which existed in previous releases, and two weapons as a killstreak.

They've added some new game modes, which I could care less about...I rarely play most of the game modes as it is.

Weapon progression system?  Bunch of BS...they've given it a new name, but it's essentially the same thing as weapon attachments in the previous games.  Sure, you're "leveling up" your gun/gun skills separate from your attachments, but it's the same damn thing.  "You can level up your gun kick skill!!! LOL! WEAPON PROGRESSIONZ!"  Yeah, and I can attach a grip to my weapon in your last fucking game to do the same thing.  Ass clowns.

Same old, same old.  Slight new twists.  Mostly relabeling perks as killstreaks, killstreaks as perks, and attachments as "weapon proficiencies."  Too old, do not want.

I joined Gamefly so I could sample all these games without spending the money to purchase.

Major Batman fan so Arkham City was first up.

The graphics are great.  The motion is usually very fluid.  The story is fair enough.

Moving around the city was confusing sometimes.  Had to keep orienting yourself to the map to see where you were.  Hiding, kicking, grappling... meh.  After a while it got old.  Hit button repeatedly to disable punk.  Some of the moves it suggested tended not to work and put me in a worse situation.

The remote control batarang can kiss my ass.  I spent more time trying to navigate that stupid thing when it was needed than anything else in the game.

Played it to the end on medium.  Died a lot of times.  If I hadn't found an online guide I never would have figured some of it out.  I'd still be stuck in the sewer scratching my bat nuts.  How could you possibly be expected to know that you have to sling the batarang through a transformer and then guide it to the button without some guidance?

It's a good game, though.  Wouldn't buy it because after you've done all that and hit a few of the side missions what else is there to do?  Do it over again?  Why?

Next up?  Saints Row.

It's in my Q.  Really enjoyed the first one.

I'll be surprised if you like Saints Row.  I have finished it and liked it a lot but just because there is inherent value in any game where you can beat someone to death with a three foot long jelly dong.

I also enjoyed Saints Row 3.  Pretty easy game to beat, took about a week.  Thats not a bad thing for me as I usually get burnt out on those types of games.  Jelly Dong was good I preferred the Octopus Shooter.

Arkham City was good as well.

Played both of them on the PC though not through the gaming systems.

I'm alternating between PS3 and XBox to see which is better.   So far?  Seriously?   Much better with PS3.

Controller makes more ergonomic sense.

I've thought about doing Gamefly recently, but then I heard Netflix was supposed to add games to their inventory.

However, they have yet to do it.  I recently bought Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption.  Finished Skyrim, and am nearing completion on Red Dead Redemption, so I'll be in need of a by-mail rental service soon.

Might just give up waiting on Netflix and sign up with Gamefly.

Next up?  Saints Row.

I haven't played this, but I've heard nothing but great things about the series.  Basically like GTA with some pretty cool differences.  This will probably be the first one I get when/if I sign up for Gamefly.
