Title: Isn't this receiving improper benefits?
Post by: AU_Tiger_2000 on February 08, 2011, 02:32:44 PM
All joking aside, this is a great story.  The Wake Forest baseball coach is donating a kidney to one of his players.

It should be.  It better be.

When I was a Tiger Tutor, I got chastised for giving a basketball player a pencil so he could do his homework.

Auburn got hit with probation for giving a kid and his struggling family a nice dinner.

I'm sorry but if the NCAA is going to be tyrannical about 99% of the "improper benefits" cases, then they need to check on this one as well.

Helluva decision. The donor gets the worst of it in these cases (surgically speaking).

This kid might be able to come back and play ball, but I wonder what they'll do about his drug testing. When you get a kidney, you take a huge amount of steroids. LOL
