Title: Victor Riley RIP
Post by: Snaggletiger on April 12, 2024, 10:15:21 AM
I guess his passing didn't make too many headlines, because I just read a piece on it this morning from Jeff Shearer.  He passed the first of February.  Riley was a huge O-lineman from 94-97.  Listed at 6'5" 321, I believe he was an All American his last season.  First round draft pick of the KC Chiefs.  Played 8-9 seasons.

I saw somewhere kidney failure.
Seems to be a lot of former professional athletes that have kidney issues. Creatine supplements maybe?

He was also a huge dude, and as you know from past playing days, a lot of the bigger guys we played sports with - once sports are gone - tend to go to the side of obesity and diabetes which will damage kidneys and other organs.

Hey hey. Easy now. I'm just big boned!

When training you force yourself to eat. My problem is, I love food.

Thats why I had to keep running into my 40s, even if not at the level of when I was 25.
