Title: Josh Dollard dismissed from team

It's okay though.  Lebo's making room for that #1 recruiting cl....oh wait.

Time for a new basketball coach.  I'm tired of bad news.

What sort of news scoop is this?  What the hell did he do to merit dismissal?

I'm guessing it was the same thing that got him a "medical" leave of absence last year.

He just can't stay away from the wacky tobaccy.***

***this is purely rumor and conjecture from the talk around campus

AUBURN -- Auburn forward Josh Dollard has been dismissed from the team for violating university policy after sitting out last season for medical reasons.

"Auburn has supplied Josh with all the resources for him to be successful," coach Jeff Lebo said today. "Josh understood his requirements and responsibilities to be an Auburn student-athlete, and he has fallen short in fulfilling what was clearly communicated to him."

Dollard led the Tigers in scoring and rebounding as a sophomore, averaging 12.5 points and 7.0 rebounds. He has the option to remain in school at Auburn and is only 12 hours shy of finishing his degree.

"I have had the opportunity to be successful on and off the court at Auburn," Dollard said. "Due to certain circumstances, I am unable to continue my career here at Auburn. I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in my career at Auburn, and I would like to wish my teammates, coaching staff and Auburn family much success in the future."

Dollard also averaged 9.1 points as a freshman, starting 12 games.

14 players in 4 years?  I knew it was a bunch, but damn...that's essentially an entire team's worth.

I don't dislike Lebo, but he's got this season to show something other than "we're occasionally competitive while short-handed."  He might not be around to coach in that new arena if he has another losing season.

He makes the Big Dance or he's out.  Plain and simple.  No more excuses.  No more time to get his players, his program and all that shit in place.  Dance or hit the fuckin' pavement.

Well at least we got the excuse ready early this season. It shows planning.
