obama came to visit b'ham, AL this past weekend. there were an estimated 11,000 supporters at the rally. plus he got the greatest endorsement known to man by Senator (and killer) Ted Kennedy. not that all this matters, he won't carry AL. It'll be tough for any democrat to carry this state. but i was slightly impressed by the turnout he received. i realize b'ham is probably the most "liberal" city in the state, and the highest concentration of minority voters. but 11,000 is fairly impressive.

11,000 is fairly impressive.
Not to Wilt Chaimberlin or Gene Simmons.

I think lots of people will vote for him just to knock out Hillary. I like what the man has to say and he might surprise everyone tomorrow at the election.

You "like what the man has to say"? What are you... a Socialist??? Let's see here... Mandatory health care, increased taxation, blame the wealthy, wage caps, blame the top income earners, absolve personal responsibility, blame the rich, promote hyphenated Americanism, suck on Oprah's toes, revise the Constitution, tax the producers, ban private gun ownership... Hmmm... He seems to have a lot in common with Hitler.

You "like what the man has to say"?...
Yeah, I do too! I really enjoy his soaring generalities and as Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) said "he's the first mainstream, African-American presidential candidate who's clean and bright and very articulate". You're just a racist who'd probably refer to him as "macaca" {ref. Sen. George Allen (R-VA)}. Bigot!
As to Alabama the latest polls from last week show that he's 15 points behind the Hildebeast (but that was before the "Breck Girl" quit today).
Si! Se puede!

I'm REALLY gonna miss him. Without an ambulance chaser in the mix, it just won't be as much fun!

Yeah me too. He, Dennis Kucinich, and Dr. Ron Paul have been great for comedy relief.

You guys make fun of him but as a republican...I am scared to death he will get the nominee. If he does, I think he is the next president. What makes it even worse, if McCain wins the nomination on the republican side...the true conservatives are screwed and will not have a canidate to vote for!

War Eagle!!!...respectfully, I don't think there is any way in HELL the Clinton machine is going to let Obama get the nomination. Unless her campaign implodes she will be the candidate. But I suppose stranger things have happened.
Tonight's debate ought to be interesting...there'll be no one on the stage but Obama and Clinton; neither of them can afford to look weak tonight.

Of course with Bubba making dumb comments like this it really doesn't help his Life Partner's campaign:
Bill: "We Just Have to Slow Down Our Economy" to Fight Global Warming
January 31, 2008 9:26 AM
by Jake Tapper (ABC)
Former President Bill Clinton was in Denver, Colorado, stumping for his wife yesterday.
In a long, and interesting speech, he characterized what the U.S. and other industrialized nations need to do to combat global warming this way: "We just have to slow down our economy and cut back our greenhouse gas emissions 'cause we have to save the planet for our grandchildren."
At a time that the nation is worried about a recession is that really the characterization his wife would want him making? "Slow down our economy"?
...

The problem is that I think there is starting to be a fundamental shift right now in the Dim party. With the endorsements that Obama are getting, it is clear to me that some powerful Dims want Obama in the White House so that he can be their puppet. I think that ship has sailed with the Clintons and the "clinton machine" may no longer be controllable...tat is not an inviting thing for the dim party.
I will say this though and I stand by it. I truely think that if Hillary gets the nod, there is no way she wins a general election for president.

The shift that you mention is interesting for sure; I have been very surprised at the endorsements Obama has been getting from Democrat Party establishment folk (like the Kennedy's for example). You could be right; they may have had enough of the Clintons.
I guess we'll see what happens next week when 22 states hold Primary elections on 5 Feb. Right now Obama does lead in delegates but that does not count Super-delegates most of which are commited to Clinton (which puts her way ahead of Obama).

The best reason I have seen so far to not vote for him.
Go bama

Oh, and you forgot to mention that be blames the rich.

You also forgot that his advisor and pastor advocates ceding portions of the United States to African nations as reparations for slavery.
This guy is an empty-headed nothing, but dangerous because of who controls him. Nobody controlled Bush and that might have its own drawbacks, but I'd rather have someone who HAS opinions in the White House than someone who is beholden to others to form them.

I'd like to show this to someone in the office.
Do you have a link for this ?
I'm too big a deal to Google.
