Title: Auburn Flashbacks on Film...
Post by: Tiger Wench on May 10, 2010, 03:39:31 PM
Found this in a photo album over the weekend - that's me, June 10, 1992, graduating from Auburn with my Masters in Public Administration.

Anyone else got any Auburn memories caught on film?  It IS the offseason!!

Me and my best friend Mike, obviously taken on the same day...

**EDIT:  Dammit - I have been distracted a bit today.  EDIT CREDIT to wes for catching my error.

I'll scan mine and post it soon as I can. Is that Walker in your pic? I remember mine had Muse but that was 1999.

Muse was still Pres, but when they were about finished with the undergrads, he just sat down and some other guy (maybe Walker, dunno) jumped up and took his place.  My group of MPA people were pissed off after they made us wait through all 7,348,922 undergrads, so we shook this guy's hand, got our pic made, then walked over to where Muse was sitting and shook his hand too.  He was bright red with embarassment, but he at least acknowleged us.

Based on those pics, I would have believed '92, '82, or 1902....but not a scant 8 years ago.

Senior in HS in 92.... So long ago it seems....

I graduated high school in 1987, finished college in 1990 and grad school in 1992.  All of those years are just a blur of tests and textbooks.  Oh to have them to do over again.  Having a 4.0 just does not seem as important now as it seemed to be then... I would trade a few points for some wild parties and rafter sex...

And you succeeded.  As July approaches, I am getting a bit touchy.

Relax, all right? Don't try to beat everyone's score. 4.0 are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Get 2.0 and 3.0 - it's more democratic.

I have a pic, but not of the act. We were both too modest in that day to film pornography. I do have a pic of us. It's packed up, but just for you I may dig it out and scan it. We also didn't have digital cameras back in the day.

Seriously. If you attempted homemade porn back then, everybody at the photo-mart knew about it. And they made their own copies. (Yes we had photo-marts just like on that 70s show)

I don't even think I got a pic of my graduation. August of 1990. I was too busy getting to the box that had the diploma just to be sure mine was actually in there. At the time, we were the largest group to graduate...just like the one before us and the ones after us. I do believe I had Walker. I liked him for some reason. Muse was OK, but Walker seemed made for the job.

Don't feel too bad Jen. You are definitely NOT the oldest here.

And there are several on here STILL getting their asses wiped by somebody else. But then again, I guess we will all go back to that one day.

Hmmm... now I am giving serious consideration in having a party in bammer - maybe on a cheezy game football weekend?  Hit an AU game for what should be a good win, then meet up with the gang for some serious post game debachery .  My parents will have the kids, and Carl and I could find a hotel room to crash into after so I do not have to go back to my parent's house all fucked up (I may be 40 but I still don't get plowed in front of my father).  And God forbid I am around my mother with a hangover... she would deliberately make me even more miserable.

Anyone interested?

Sober me says "Kiss my ass, B."

Tequila-ed me says "DAMN SKIPPY!!"

It would be a serious internal struggle. Not many 40 year old women have large, hot, surgically-repaired-but-still-all-natural perky boobies.  It just seems like a gift I should share with the world.  Or at least you guys if I get drunk enough.

I'll think on it.

You should stick with that chick in the first picture.  The one in the second one isn't nearly as hot.

I also hope that someone had the good sense to keep that playbill advertising the Elvis concert if it was an original?  (Since it is advertising him playing 5 days after his demise upon a toilet)

CCT - its a compliment brother. That Johnny fellow kicked some major ass in that movie until Miyagi turned Daniel-Sahn into Randy Couture at the end.

You guys are just jealous. I took all your women back in the late 80s. Yeah, I probably dated some of your mothers. But there's no way any of you could be my kids. You are all too damn ugly.  :by: None of you have that beautiful hair.

And Cha-Cha was fine as hell under that blanket of feathers. I was rocking the good life there for a while. And then I went to AU. Too many Cha-Chas to choose from. It was very traumatic.  :vn:

Spent many a day there, Pornstache and all. Very nice place, history and such. The castle's are bootaful.

Planning on taking the wife next year. I miss drinking beer at a outside cafe on the river. Of course it was the 80's and Germany. I could seem to drink alot more. Maybe it was the time difference?

Found this in a photo album over the weekend - that's me, June 10, 1992, graduating from Auburn with my Masters in Public Administration.

I'm working on getting my MPA right now. What did you end up doing with yours?

Worked for a few different cities for a while, then moved over to private sector to actually make enough money to support myself...

Thanks. He is getting out this week. Full medical. Back is shot. Hearing is shot. Nerves are shot. He is rotating into the real world. Hopefully he will use that GI bill money to get a degree. At 22 years old, he is feeling like an old man.

His graduation from boot camp picture looked just like yours. Just a kid not knowing what the hell he had signed up for.

And 37 is only 3 years away from being old. Things quit working as well after forty.

That was great hair! Joe Elliott from Def Leppard sent me fan mail. It was full, thick, and flowin'. CCTAU can protest his mullet all day long. It is a mullet pal - the Alex P. Keating from Family Ties. Embrace it, man!

I got it sheared off 6 weeks later when I went into the navy. The female barber cried because she had to cut off the most awesome head of hair ever grown. Rumor has it she quit the next day and now runs the locks for love foundation.
