Auburn or Georgia for 4-star big man

The early signing period for basketball starts Wednesday and Auburn is set to sign at least four players with the 2010 class. They'd like to sign a fifth from one of the nation's top big men in Shawn Kemp, the oldest son of a former NBA all-star. Get the latest inside.

I read on a rivals board that this now means we may have the inside track on all 15 to 18 of his half brothers...

So wrong. I think he only has 1 half brother. He plays here in the county. So we get updates on him from time to time. He will have to get better for one of the big boys take him. But if they don't, it would be nice for AU to get him. He is estimated to be 7 foot about age 21. Just in time for a senior season at AU.

This could be a good thing, but whenever you see "upside" with a basketball player, that just means he's not that good yet.  Michael Olowokandi, Stromile Swift, Shawn Bradley, Kwame Brown, and  Darko Milicic all had upside.

Now you can find all of them on different draft "bust" lists.

Hope for Auburn's sake he works out, but I'm not excited yet.

It's looking like he'll be more of a Scotty Pohlman type player.

I think she stepped outside the pressurized zone.
