Nigel Terrell is better than CJ Mosely and Ladarious Owens?  Wow...Auburn and Alabama are WAY off.

Is he that guy who owned the hot ass car and those damn dobermans that kept chasing Magnum?

Or is he the Tanqueray dude?

Terrell has the same actual rating as Mosley (81), and Owens is an 80. I was a little surprised he was ranked better in rankings than both of them as well. Just a small breakdown of realistic targets and commits:

Alabama
17. DeMarco Cobbs ATH 4* (84)
19. Demarcus Milliner CB 4* (83) (COMMIT)
31. John Fulton CB 4* (83)
36. Phillip Sims QB 4* (83) (COMMIT)
55. Gabe King DE 4* (82)
70. Brian Vogler TE 4* (81) (COMMIT)
79. Chad Lindsay OL 4* (81) (COMMIT)
90. Keenan Allen ATH 4* (81) (WILL COMMIT IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS)
93. Keiwone Malone WR 4* (81) (COMMIT)
94. JaWuan James OT 4* (81) (COMMIT)
102. James Stone OT 4* (81)
126. CJ Mosley OLB 4* (81)

Auburn
6. Michael Dyer RB 5* (86)
10. Marcus Lattimore RB 5* (85)
20. Lache Seastrunk RB 4* (83)
23. Antonio Goodwin ATH 4* (83) (COMMIT)
45. Trovon Reed WR 4* (82)
99. Shaun Kitchens ATH 4* (81) (COMMIT)
107. Nigel Terrell OLB 4* (81)
132. LaDarius Owens DE 4* (80)

Sorry if I forgot anybody that may be a realistic target on AU's side. Obviously, I wouldn't know them as well but I think I got them all for the most part based on what I have read. Something I found interesting is that the highest ranking this year for any recruit is 88, and only one recruit has that ranking. Its a little odd compared to previous ESPN 150 rankings.

2009: Matt Barkley QB 5* (93) (USCw)
2008: DaQuan Bowers DE 5* (95) (Clemson) (JULIO JONES TIED AT #2)
2007: Joe McKnight RB 5* (92) (USCw)
2006: Myron Rolle S 5* (94) (FSU)

What I really like about the ESPN's rankings, is that they give a summary of all of the players that they evaluate.  With Nigel, he has a crap load of upside, being that last year was his first year at the linebacker position.  That might be why he's rated as high as he is.  But, in reality, he might have a lot of upside, but right now, I don't think he's better than C.J., LaDarius, Holland, or Jawara.

Yeah, same here. I like to go back and compare analysis of guys who have been on campus a few years to what they have actually done on the field.

I enjoyed Athlon's look back at the top 40 of '04 in this years issue. Adrian Peterson was #1 looks like the scouts were right about him! Willie Williams Mr. Lobster Tails was ranked #11 on the list, one of the biggest wastes of talent I can remember. Our very own Leon Hart finished strong at #21, I couldn't believe he actually played in 40 games while at Auburn?

He was a silent warrior that's for sure.
