Might as well see if we can donate to the greater Las Vegas improvement fund.
ND (-20.5)/Navy (playing this one in Dublin)
USC (-30)/SJSU
Utah (-7)/UF
That Utah line is one to watch as the Utes' players are dropping like flies, apparently. Even so, I think the UF squad is going to struggle in SLC. I'll lay the points.
No reason to think Riley struggles in LA against San Jose and he'll want to start the Williams Heisman campaign strong. Look for the Trojans to run the score up if they can.
Notre Dame is maybe pretty good this year? I don't know. Early in the season, on the other side of the pond, against a triple-option offense that you likely won't see again all year...I think a 3TD victory is asking a bit much. Gimme the points and the seamen.

Ok boys, give Wes the semen.

I'd lay the points over in Ireland. Yes, ND is expected to be purty good this year, but Navy is probably going to be purty bad. While they will still run some option, they're switching up the offense. They fired Ken Nuatololtologolofuala, and promoted the DC to HC after they had a BLT on the QT at TGIF.
Navy was 4-8 last season, averaging 22 points and 326 total yards a game. 86 of that was through the air, and they are going to try and be a bit more pass happy this year.
Having said that, Navy always seems to be outmanned, outskrengthed, outquicked and outkicked. But, they always hang around.

I heard Corch Freeze is looking for the juice.

Timely reminder: fade my picks.

I would've lost some money on Vandy last night, but the website was down. So I'm off to a great start!

Week Uno doesn't give us much in the way of quality matchups.
I'm on record with Utah (-7) (UU)
PedoU (-20.5)/WVU (PSU)
USCe (+2.5)/UNC (Charlotte)
FSU (+2.5)/LSU (Orlando)
Clemson (-13)/Duke (Duke)
Maybe interesting plays:
Coastal Carolina (+14.5)/UCLA (UCLA)
Minn (-7)/Neb (Minn)
GaTech (+8)/Louisville (MB Dome- ATL)
Colorado (+20.5)/TCU (TCU)
Tulane (-6.5)/USA (TU)
As always, the smart money fades me.

You nailed the Utah / Florida summary. Some didn’t need to see last night to know Florida is a complete coaching mess with Billy Bob buzzcut.

I thought Florida would have found a way. They looked like a Harden led Auburn team playing Penn State.
Napier might not make it through the season.

He may be a worse on field coach. He just recruits a shit ton better - in part because he’s a good ole boy from that network. He’s just Jeremy Pruitt lite - a dumb redneck in over his head. Here’s hoping we capitalize with recruits when/if Billy bob and dimbo jimbo both fail spectacularly.

Thanks. Nothing like going 2 for 5 to inspire confidence. I keep telling myself to never bet on Vandy, but those points keep looking so tempting.

Well I guess I am a little gun-shy, don't see much I like this week. I don't bet on my Hogs, but they might be the best bet at -8. Maybe the Vols at -6 1/2?

Pitt may not score 8 points in the game!

Fair question. I'm just not ready to write them off entirely. They still have a boatload of talent.

Would not surprise me at all. Seems like one of Buzzy's locks.

Yep. Announced moments ago. Back to the beginning.
Some doofus on over on Tigerdroppings said this was a calculated move by Saban to exhibit that the two backups were significantly worse than Milroe. Claims that Saban did the same thing at LSU with Marcus Randall, Matt Mauck and one of the Clausen kids.

And Steele demoted from DC per......Lane Kiffin.
Little Lawd FauntleSaban's response to Lane Run a Train
“Kevin Steele is the defensive coordinator,” Saban said. “He has all the defensive coordinator responsibilities. The only thing that we tried to improve on from an administrative standpoint was gameday administration of getting the signals in quicker. So that’s the only thing that we worked on together as a staff. The whole staff made a contribution to it and I think it was a lot better in this game than it was in the Texas game.”
-

Agree. So Ree's leaves the Irish and it turns out he's no QB whisperer. All three QB's stare down receivers like they were able to do in high school.

I have been overly critical of Thorne the first 3 games, which is disingenuous on my part when considering all the factors, but one thing I have sang his praises on is that I see him actively working through progressions with sound mechanics when he has time in the pocket to do so. I saw him looking for his 3rd option on more than 1 occasion in the first 1/4 of the season.
-
Notre Dame loses Ree's and Buchner to the Tahd and gets transfer Sam Hartman from Wake Forest and everything is golden for the Irish.

I'm still trying to understand the throws from the three yard line before halftime which resulted in a field goal.
Know that was a coaching decision but it was rather dumb on their part. And it's something TAMU saw which takes that element of surprise off the table.

Definitely were just trying to be cute and get chemistry down with receivers. I didn't feel like it was going to sway the end result, so I was okay with it.

The fact that he had to respond shows that Lane got exactly what he wanted out of that....whether it works or not, hes on Saban's mind.

Well it's obvious I should quit gambling. Watching the hogs play LSU last week, I thought we were pretty decent and just lost to a good LSU team that was rounding into form after an early loss to a really good FSU team. I was wrong. Dreadfully wrong. Wash also put in a lackluster effort, which didn't help m efforts. I think from now on, if a can scrape up enough bitcoin to fund my gambling account again, I am only betting home dogs.

I'm running 20 miles Saturday morning starting around 6-6:30 a.m. After that, the local brewery has a once-a-year lottery to get in their mug club (you get a 16 oz pour for the price of 8 or 12 all year and a hand-crafted ceramic stein to go with). I'll probably lose out, but could be a fun afternoon. From there, thought about hitting up Bed Bath and Beyond, but I don't know if there's time.

You my boy, Blue!
-
I'm running 20 miles Saturday morning starting around 6-6:30 a.m.
Pretty nice little Saturday.
Good luck in the lottery.

I couldn't imagine trying to run that distance in one go. What is wrong with you & GH?
1/4 mile at a time for me in my daily circuit (max speed), for 4-6 rounds.

Training for my second full marathon. Have to hit that a couple times before the actual thing. As of this writing, it's 31 days until that day. I won't get anywhere near a PR or even what I did in March 2022, but I am going to finish this thing, one way or another. After that, I may not run again until April.

I'll take:
Illinois -6 1/2
FSU -14 1/2 I think this one could get ugly with a capital ugh
GA -10 1/2 Think OM might catch Ga's attention, so this might turn into a good old fashioned beatdown.
& Fresno St.
