Title: Chicks With Balls 2023
Post by: Snaggletiger on February 14, 2023, 11:43:27 AM
The Lady War Tigers took their softballs, gloves and bats down to Clearwater, Florida for a tourney.

St. Johns  6-0 W

Fordham  9-0 W

Pitt  7-8 L

Indiana  9-0 W

Illinois  10-0 W

Four shutouts, and one loss by one run is pretty impressive.

It would be more impressive if the one loss by one run was a win by one run.
Looks like they are going to suck gain. Fire Clint!

The chicks have quietly put together a 20-2 record, and risen to #18 in the polls.  However, it gets real quickly from here.  A tune up, then a trip to top 25 FUGA, then off to a tournament that includes top 25 Northwestern, and #1 Oklahoma.  Guess they'll see where they really are.

Chicks with balls dropped 3 of 4 to Georgia teams this past week.  Lost to GT, then went 1-2 at FUGA.  They head to the Oklahoma HOF Classic this weekend, where they'll play 5 games, including 2 with Oklahoma. 21-5 on the season.

The Chicks who play with soft balls, are sitting at 24-9 (4-2)

They went out to Oklahoma and came back with tails tucked after dropping two to Northwestern, then two more to #1 Oklahoma.  Bounced back with a series sweep of Missouri.
