Title: Pre-Dick-Shuns Week Undici
Post by: Snaggletiger on November 15, 2022, 12:14:24 PM
Week Number K is the week before most of the rivalries, so quite a few teams are having cupcakes for dinner on Saturday. That includes Auburn and Bama.  But honestly, can we say any team is a cupcake for The Planesmenz at this point?  Nationally, TCU traveling to Baylor is pretty much the only one with playoff implications.  Baylor ain’t no easy win, nurra’, but I’m pulling for the Toads to upset the playoff apple cart.  USC and UCLA will tie up, which should be a pretty good game, just for the fun of watching.  I remember as I was growing up, this game was a must see every year, along with Nebraska/Oklahoma, and Ohio State/Michigan, and even Penn State/Pittsburgh.  There were just some games that happened every year, that were staples of every fans’ watch list.  But then, that was before you could watch 149 games every week.  Anywayz, not much to say about what’s being played.

Ole Miss @ Arkansas:  Actually, this is always a crazy game.  Not out of the realm of possibility this could be a 4 overtime contest.  Both teams are headed in the wrong direction at this point.  The Hawgs may get KJ Mr. Jefferson back, which will be a shot in the arm.  But I have to think the Black Rebel Bears have more to play for, and more fire power than the smelly pigs.

Ole Miss:  35

Arky:  24

Tennessee @ Sakerlina:  Hooker makes his reservations for New York.

Tennessee:  48

USCe:  17

Fuck Georgia @ Kentucky:  Whatever

Fuck Georgia:  42

Kentucky:  14

Western Kentucky @ Auburn:  WKU can score a ton of points.  They can also look like shit against bad teams.  Auburn just looks like shit….every week.  If I wasn’t an Auburn fan, and came across this past Saturday’s game, I would have changed the channel after 3 plays.  Other than being able to get a few first downs with his legs, Robbie Assturd is easily the worst QB ever to suit up for good ole State U.  I’ve never seen a QB who will self-destruct at least 5 times every game. If he’s not just plain dropping a snap, he’s taking off like a scared rabbit for the sidelines.  Or maybe throwing a lame duck into double coverage.  Which begs the question….is there any other D1 quarterback in the nation who would have missed Jarquez Hunter? You know which play I’m talking about.  You know the answer, too.  But hey, he’s all we gots. Now, back to the game:

Auburn: 28 (Yawn)

WKU:  17

Feel free to talk amongst yourselves.

PAC 12 has the best two games of the day.

UCLA vs. USC
- The Trojans have feasted on garbage teams all year. UCLA blew their chances at bigger things but still controls a path to the conference title. Neither defense is worth much. Expect lots of points.

Utah @ Oregon
- Bo Nix should take extra Advil this week. Despite their problems, the Utes defense still packs a wallop. Oregon's coaching staff will also need to remove head from anus if they hope to hold home serve against a pesky bunch.

Dude. I haven't thrown a football in anger in nigh unto 20 years.  My last official pass was when I beaned a ball from the sidelines off the head of a referee I'd heard just about enough from in a first round playoff game.  Possibly the best pass I've thrown in all my life.  Tight spiral, about 30 yards in the air, led him just enough, hit him high in the back of the head and knocked his little hat clean off.  Didn't hit him square, just brushed the top enough to get his attention.

That said?  I could have hit Hunter in that situation.  Without warmup.

You vastly overestimate the abilities of Arky, UK and Auburn to score.

Some because of their own ineptitude and some due to their opponent.

That paled in comparison to the hand-off toss that he performed. I learned in Jr high, if you aren't gong to make the hand-off, just keep it. That wasn't talent related. That was between the ears.
If we had a great team other than him, I think he could grow into a very exciting QB. We are fortunate to have him this season. The alternative at this point would be a walk-on....As that might be the only guy left standing.
