Bruce Pearl’s program has just landed its first commitment for the 2020 recruiting cycle.
The latest good news for the Tigers comes from Justin Powell, the No. 1 prospect from the state of Kentucky in 2020. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard announced his commitment publicly on Friday. Powell picked the Tigers over scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Xavier and Ohio State.
247Sports Composite Rankings (https://247sports.com/Player/Justin-Powell-46048027/) list Powell as the nation’s No. 51 shooting guard prospect in the country and a three-star prospect.

Holy cow. We're gonna have a white guy that could play more than the last 30 seconds of the second half! You lie!
