I had no idea Glavine's kid was a freshman...
For Glavine, the 1995 World Series MVP, Game Six of the Fall Classic, when he one-hit Cleveland for eight innings, was one of those "dynamite stuff" nights.

I know the competition hasn't exactly been stellar to this point, at least not household names in college baseball. But through 5 games, this pitching staff is giving up an average of 1.6 runs per game.

But at the same time, they've handled their bidnezz like a good club should. Two more OOC games before Texas A&M comes to town for a 3-game weekend series. Georgia Tech up first. The Jackets bring a 9-6 record in, coming off a 3-game sweep at the hands of Clemson. The next night, Memphis comes in with a 6-10 record. Both very winnable games. Would love to start SEC play at 17-1.

After a week of fail, the Real Tigers take game one of the final series of the season. An 11-4 win over LSU. That puts them at 36-18 for the season and 14-14 in conference. Gotta' think that gets them in with the SEC being by far, the most dominant conference in baseball this year. We shall see. A series win would seal it in my opinion.

It is bullshit that if USC and MSU make it 7 and 8, that 6 of those 8 teams play each other in the Supers (AU vs UF, Vandy vs MSU, and Ark vs USC).

It could be worse. If A&M doesn't crap the bed, that's a SEC v. SEC Super, too.
Don't think they foresaw AU coming out, Vandy winning, MSU getting through.
About all they could have done to make it "better" was ship a couple of SEC teams out to Stanford or Conway. That would have make people mad too. Or maybe send one to Chapel Hill, but trying to get out of the North Carolina regional might have been hard for any SEC team.

Great season, but that ending sucked so bad. Really feel for the kid in Right.

Just stopped hitting at all. Not complaining. Great season. Great optimism for the future. But, they stopped hitting altogether. Should have beaten them. This is not a great UF team. We just decided to be completely overmatched from about the 5th inning on.
