Well at the end of the day it was a business decision and he did what was best for him and his family.

How did he resist the Lord Saybinz mind ray?  Most mere mortals are instantly programmed at first bump to conform to The Process.  There must be something wrong with that boy's medulla oblongata.

Prolly easier to crack the Colonel's recipe than Saban's process.

His Twitter was nothing but excitement.  Because that's what 20 year olds do when they're kicked out of a prime opportunity to get to the NFL or get a college education.  They get excited about it.

When the kicking comes with a large stuffed animal full of $100s, then they can get a little happy.

May he never be heard from again. He had a shot at playing time and being part of a family.

Hopefully many more players choosing to flip will be getting their just rewards....

We need to go after this guy again. You seem to forget was a 5 star. Make his struggleoverwit# again! We are the team for second chances.

That only applies to former SEC East players....

WOTS...Liner couldn't have signed with Auburn on Signing Day, because Garner & Malzahn pulled his offer. I doubt they would want him again.

One down, six more scholarships left to be freed up..."Process Day" is coming up quickly.

YUP, Trey Matthews

Met him outside Toomer's when Trooper was showing him around.  Said it before and yep, I'll say it again.  That kid had some ripped up guns hanging from his shoulders.  I was saying, "So that's what a 5 star DB looks like."

I have a feeling our defensive backfield is really going to step up their game this year.  Can't get much worse.  But we actually have numbers back there and with some real coaching, we may be pretty good.  Think about how much Matthews could add.  5* DB who was playing (Can't recall if he was starting) for UGA.  Even if he wasn't starting, he was in on the biggest plays of the game.

Also heard that he really impressed in bowl practices this year.

Here's the thing. I think we have the best mixture of experience, talent and youth as we've had in a long time in the defensive backfield.  J. Jones and J. Holsey return as corners.  Rudi Ford got baptism by fire this year and young guys who got PT like TJ Davis, Nick Ruffin and Stephen Roberts are back as well. At safety, let's talk about Derrick Moncrief and Tray Matthews.  I think we're big and bad there.  Throw in Kal Bessent and 6'2" 205 commit Jordan Colbert and 4* Tim Irvin.....we've got some big time playa's back there.  Time to coach em' up.

Off topic, but Liner wasn't granted a release to any SEC team.

Not that it matters to anyone but Vandy and he would need to be able to spell better for them.

Yup....of course he could enroll somewhere out of state then say "family issues" to come back to the State and little Nicky couldn't do anything about that.

Didn't realize that Liner ended up at Arky St.

Looks like we'll get to see him again this year.
