Title: JUCO Signing Day (Or As We Call It At Auburn: Signing Day)
Post by: AUChizad on December 18, 2013, 09:40:37 AM
We got this guy:
Quote
@AUBlog 3m
JUCO offensive lineman Xavier Dampeer --> RT @BornToPlay51: I'm officially an Auburn Tiger.

More to come including 5* Dhaquille Williams, hopefully.

Skreets are saying UT commit Davonte Lambert will be flipping today.

Will announce at 3pm.

We could use a big receiver like Williams. And I can't blame Lambert for flipping. UT sucks azz.

I thought Damp and DW were both already committed. I had read that Williams is making an announcement today and that doesn't really make much sense, since he had already committed to us--unless of course he's flipping to Bama. Is it time for that to start yet?

Oh yeah, that's right. We started out doing the reverse flips this year with the two cb's from them. The judges should give those flips 10's because of the degree of difficulty. All flips aren't easy flips.

Because it's JUCO Signing Day. Committing and signing the dotted line are two wholly separate things.

Obviously, this video was made a while ago because he was LSU all the way when it was made.  Luckily, we offered more...I mean..we had more to offer....not money....what I mean is, he could get more at Aub....wait...he liked us better.

Anyway, if you watch this report and don't feel a tingly movement or wetness in the crotchorial region, you don't love the War Eagles.

This guy could be exactly what we need as far as a possession receiver/big play threat. Coates is great at stretching the field for us, Davis shows promise but I don't think either one can go up and take one away from the DB like this guy may be able to, from what I've seen and heard. He is tall enough that he should be a valuable weapon, esp in red zone. He and Uzi together will give the D a lot of field to cover. I really think this is a huge pick up. And if I say it's important, then you know it's important. Because I know so much about football.

Recruiting: No. 1 JuCo prospect D'haquille Williams has signed with Auburn

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College wide receiver D'haquille Williams, rated the No. 1 junior college prospect in the country, has signed with Auburn.

Bill Snyder, MGCCC's sports information director, tweeted that Williams signed with Auburn at 7:01 a.m. Wednesday, the first day mid-year junior-college transfers can sign with four-year schools.
Williams, originally from La Place, La., had been committed to the Tigers since July, but had apparently also been considering LSU in recent weeks. The 6-foot-3, 213-pound sophomore was a NJCAA All-American as a freshman at Gulf Coast in 2012 and an honorable mention pick in 2013, when he caught 51 passes for 733 yards and nine touchdowns in nine games.
MGCCC head coach Steve Campbell said Tuesday that Williams has completed course work to graduate in December, thus he can enroll at Auburn in January and participate in spring practice.

Also Wednesday, Copiah-Lincoln offensive lineman Xavier Dampeer tweeted that he had signed with the Tigers.
Williams' Gulf Coast teammate, linebacker/safety Derrick Moncrief also signed with Auburn on Wednesday. Moncrief is originally from Prattville.
UPDATE: Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn confirmed the signing of Williams, Moncrief and Dampeer at his Wednesday morning news conference.

Lambert flipped to UT.

That Hootie Jones kid who chose Bama like two weeks ago just decommitted. Could get interesting.

"...and let's hear what the recruiting analyst says."
Some 5'6" 110lb. guy (that has never taken a snap before in his entire life, that lived in a bubble for his first 10 years because his parents didn't want him to go outside and get sick or hurt) is there to give his analyses of "Duke" Williams.
