Nice numbers.  P'ville is usually in the playoff mix, no?

State championship mix.

No clue how good they're supposed to be this year, but I'd imagine that Jeremy Johnson did something incredibly impressive tonight.

He's not a good QB remember...no wait, he's a 4 star QB now. We good at QB. Championship.

This was a big upset from what I heard.

Not really. Prattville is going through a true rebuilding year. Their preseason game was a shutout to Blount except for a last second 50 yd FG. Rough times in ole Pville.

Does not mean that Johnson's numbers aren't good. PHS is still a 6A high school and he shredded them.

I think he's definitely Cam-esque in physical build and athletic ability.  JJ's runs in those highlights are impressive.  The big difference I see, and it appears this is by design, is that JJ rolls out most of the time, while Cam, at least by these clips, stays set in the pocket and delivers.  Just wondering if that will be somewhat of a transition for JJ, learning to set his feet.  On a side note, I know exactly squat about coaching the QB position so the above is just rambling musings of a senile old man.  Try to ignore the obligatory shots to the sidelines after every play in the Cam vid.

You can't recruit choir boys with all the thugs already on campus.

Hate that Pville got beat. But it was an nice watch. I ran many a play in that old stadium. The home side was the one you see in the film and the lights were much dimmer and it was still grass. But it still looks the same. I can still smell the grass on game day. Funny the things an old mind remember.

Pville's defense is very young and looked confused most of the game, but JJ did a nice job executing. I bet the way he throws that bubble screen that Malzahn is still calling him every day! Reminded me of AU a couple of seasons ago, except that it worked at the HS level.

CCTAU does have the benefit of experience and Coach Loeffler could send him some vids of Brady and Henne. Daily work outs with Coach Yox, Troop for a room mother, plenty of discipline...whatta you say CCTAU? We can get your eyes lasered and handicapped parking. Any eligibillity left?

Btw, Jeremy Johnson blew up Auburn High's defense last Friday night on ESPNU, some are talking that if he continues with his play that he could be a 5* prospect before it's all said and done. Of course that doesn't mean shit when he's staring at the unblocked LBer or DE coming at him looking to take his head off.

With the way this staff is developing talent-we should be able to make him a 2 star un-draftable player after his time on the plains.
