They are nice.  Rode in one a couple of months ago.  Only problem is they still ride like a jeep.

I know.  I'm gonna miss rolling up beside Smart cars and blowing smoke in their driver's side window.  I was really tempted by a mil spec K5 blazer the other day with the 6.2L Detroit Diesel.

Unless you haul 11,000 + lbs on a regular basis, a diesel just isn't really necessary. Most guys buy them now to make up for small penis.

I am happy with my small penis. I do not need a big truck to verify that!

But your statement is absolutely incorrect. A lot of diesels burn cleaner and get just as good of mileage as a half ton pickup.

My uncle had one of those back in the 80s. Awesome vehicle. Had a 4 in lift and large tires. Did not go fast, but was an awesome cruiser and excellent puller.

As long as you are cool with your wee dong!

The one I had didn't. It got maybe 1 MPG more than my F150. But the Diesel Fuel was about 60 cent more per gallon. Trade off fail. Don't get me wrong, I liked it but everything I was using it for I have been able to do with my F150. Most people hardly ever haul enough weight to warrant getting one, which is really a diesel's main functional advantage.

Hey!  My balls are still in my scrote, though they are not technically attached to anything anymore.

'07 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.  I filled up today and when the pump cut off at 17 gallons I thought, "Wait, is that it?"

How much of a pain in the ass is the top to get on/off the new Jeeps?  I had a CJ-7 when I was at Auburn, and it sucked.  And when someone decided to put a knife through it multiple times at Patio apartments, I just used a bikini top full time.

The factory soft top is a two person operation.  The BestTop that I have is a two person operation to fully install it, one person to remove it, but it rolls back which is how it is in the pic and that is pretty easy.

The factory hard top for the 4 door models has basically T-Tops for the front seats that are super easy to remove, three latches and it's done.  The back half of the hard top is a two person job because it weighs about 150lbs.

No leaks at all.  Mine is their original Trektop, but I would highly recommend not getting that in favor of their new Trektop NX.  On mine the rear section with the windows cannot be separated from the top and the top rolls back.  On the NX it can convert to a safari top by taking off the rear section separately and the top folds back.  Seems to be much easier to live with.

Here is my baby BTW.  I haven't done much yet.  Neoprene seat covers, painted the rims, and added the step bar.

Looking at Craigs list for soft tops.

Eventually I want to:

Change out fender flares
2" lift kit
33" and different rims.
new front bumper.
soft top
and thinking about changing out the front grill.

Love this one.

Just noticed that this thread had come back to life.  If you want 33"'s you don't need a lift.  Just go with flat fenders and wheels with 4.25" of backspacing (or spacers on stock rims).  With a 2" lift and flat fenders you can run 35" tires.  A lot of guys that wheel recommend that as it keeps the CG lower.

I would also recommend getting on www.jkowners.com
