Title: Mullet beatdown
Post by: Saniflush on January 06, 2011, 07:19:13 AM
That's right folks.  It's that time of year again.  Hard to imagine that is is quickly approaching.  I was reminded last night by our converted tiger Tarheel.  So you all know the drill.

Date - 1/22/11
Time - 1700 cst (That's right bitches it is a full day of drinking before the game)

Sign up here so we can try to get tickets all together as usual.  All are invited even if you are not going to spend the night and whore around Auburn that night.

I'll be there and I'm sure I can drag along GarMan; he'll want to have a nap during the game in the new Basketball Arena.

A full day of drinking...no Jaeger shots please!

REALLY?  A full day and a half and nothing?
I realize we have a big game in a couple of days but you are talking about tradition here.

I guess this will stay up until mid next week and then we will try to order.

I might wait until Carl drags his major league hungover ass into the house on Sunday, and ask if I can make a quick run to Mecca that weekend  My excuse is that I want to see the bammer SGA fucktard sing the Auburn fight song - then my perfect season will be... well, perfect.

Making no promises, etc., but if Sweets is gonna be there, she and I could share a room with a double deadbolt lock.  You know, so we won't be disturbed.

The public tickets from the university are officially sold out.  Some of you mofos better be calling your skreets to get all of us/some of us/ME a ticket...

Or we had best be forming Plan B in terms of getting our drank on.

I just noticed on ITAT that the Club Level donors are receiving an email to order tickets for the event in J-H also.  I assume then, that the Club Levels will be checked but everything else is first-come/first-served.  Has anyone heard this?

Nevermind...I found the answer.  Gates open at 11:00 and it is first-come/first served for seats other than the Club Level.

Cannot believe I am having to do this shit from Houston... buncha lazy ass bastards...

Anyway...

StubHub has a few tickets left for $150 each.  Teh suxs.

SO..........

I just called the Olde Auburn Ale House  - we can have the party room all to ourselves, and it has a TV.  CSS is showing the game, which starts at 5pm.  I reserved the room in my name, so if you know it/can spell it/can make a good run at it, you are invited!!!  I have no idea if that is a good place or not, but they have (1) beer, (2) food, (3) liquor and (4) more beer.

Unless someone can top that, well...there you go.  No whining unless you are prepared to make a better offer.

I don't know where it is but I'll find it.

Yeoman's work there Tiger Wench!

I'm not paying that much for tickets unless it's to see a game at the Dean Smith Center.

I hate that I let this outing sneak up like this and me with no tickets...never has been a problem before...this dilemma won't happen next year.

Sani is picking me up at ATL at 9:38 Auburn time.  We should be getting to JHS between 11-11:30.  My family is going to be driving over from MGMY and will hopefully be able to save us some seats where they are, otherwise we will just have to hope for the best.

Then once the Party at JHS is over, I am guessing we'll be heading over to the Olde Auburn Ale House for the official commencement of getting the drank on.  The room reservation should be under TigersX.

So who all is coming??

I called a few moments ago and reconfirmed the room reservation at the Olde Auburn Ale House.  The address says it's on Tichenor, but that is the back entrance.  The front entrance is kind of inside the Municipal parking garage.  I told the guy we would be there as soon as we could following the party at JHS - i am assuming the celebration will last about an hour, so in other words around 2:30-3:00ish.  If anyone is not going to JHS tho, feel free to mosey on over and get the party started.

The reservation is now listed under TigersX.  However, the password is still my last name and it must be spelled correctly or you have to buy me a drink.

Damn...I'm going to be broke.

I'm seriously considering leaving here around 9:30 so I can get in and try to get a decent spot at the celebration.  How many places do I need to hold?  I'll bring my blow up doll collectionsome stuff to try and save a row.

I think we will probably be en route to 17-16 or maybe pizza then 17-16.  Can't wait to see who pukes first this year.

Based on previous years Tarheel and Weskie are both going off at 5 to 2 while everyone else outside Wench, who has not had a previous showing, is going off at 3 to 1.

I generally don't puke - as long as I avoid "fruity" drinks and tequila shots, I should be fine.  However, when you take into consideration that

(1) I have to be up at 5:00am to make my flight to the ATL, and

(2) GarMan is not expected to be in attendance, thereby removing the competition

you may wish to consider the over/under on me being passed out by, say, 10pm.

I thought Sani said he wasn't going to be there?  Damn, I may not be the first to pass out after all.

I'll throw a sleeping bag in Sani's truck just in case.  There's not better time to catch up on some sleep than a basketball game.  I mean, it's just basketball.  Actually, it's a bar.  As long as I can smoke a cigar and enjoy some alcohol, I'll be fine.

This is not the venue for your pot smoking, scripture laced rants

Pot is for commoners.  I prefer lysergic acid diethylamide.  And nobody makes an ethylene glycol marinade like I do.

Good - then I won't have to worry about mine being confiscated by the TSA before I get to use it on you.

I will admit to genuine fear about falling asleep around you gits, since I cannot count on "a gentleman protecting the lady's honour" factor from any of you sorry assed mofos.  I am gonna have to dust off the official Judson College chastity armour with its sixteen impenetrable locks.

That was the modern (post 1858) version.  I was there during the Dark Ages.  Nothing short of holy water blessed by Adoniram Judson himself would crack those locks without a chaperone present.  I chaffed for three years.

Here are the details about the celebration...

Quote
AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn University will celebrate the Tigers' 2010 National Football Championship Saturday, January 22 at 1 p.m. in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The celebration will last approximately one hour and admission is free. Tickets are not required to enter the stadium, and all seating is general admission and will be first-come, first-served.

Fans can access the stadium via gates 2, 4, 5 and 7 on the east side of the stadium and gates 12, 14, 15, and 17 on the west side. All gates will open at 11 a.m., two hours prior to the event.

Auburn students with a valid Auburn Ignited card will be allowed to stand on the field. Students can access the field though the field level gates located at the northwest and northeast corners of the stadium below sections 46 and 35.

Due to the academic calendar, public parking will be available at the hayfields on South Donahue Drive. Shuttles will run from the hayfields from 10 a.m. until two hours post-event. Donahue Drive will be closed from Samford to War Eagle Way starting at 5:00 a.m.

A limited number of disabled parking spaces will be available in the east Coliseum lot on the day of the event.

Stadium concessions on the lower level will be open for this event and no outside food or drinks will be allowed into the stadium.

The AU Team Shop will be open before, during and after the event at several locations around and inside the stadium and at the Auburn Arena location. Officially licensed National Championship products, apparel and more will be available for purchase.

A limited number of official National Championship posters will be distributed free of charge as fans exit the stadium following the event.   Which means I will be leaving early - gotta get me one of those! They look AWESOME

Approximately 30 minutes following the celebration, a reverse Tiger Walk will be held from Stadium Gate 10 towards the Athletics Complex.

The weather forcast says clear and sunny, with a high of 50 degrees and a low that night of 29!!  JHS will be rocking, but it will be COLD!!  We will need to make sure we count heads at the end of the night - would hate to find an X-cicle in a pool of vomit and other bodily fluids on the sidewalk the next morning, all frozen and shit.

Listened to the game on the way back.  Had gone back through Montgomery and hit Bonefish for some mighty tasty Bang Bang skrimps and 420 on tap.

The radio call was just depressing.  Glad I didn't watch.  It was turnover after turnover after bad foul after turnover after....
