If Miami makes that move, that could be for real on Malzahn.

I agree.  It isn't a hard conference and South Florida is a recruiting hot bed.  That's one of the few jobs mentioned that I think would be a perfect fit for him.

Its not just a recruiting hot bed. It is THE recruiting hotbed in the entire country - pound for pound. Malzahn would thrive down there with all that speed.

I'm not so sure Coach Malzahn would be a good HC...same for Coach Muschamp.  They're Great coordinators, but I just can't see them as HC material.

That's kind a what I had in mind w/o saying it on the other thread with Shannon in a struggle or possibly even Neuheisel's spot at UCLA.

ESPN got the info from John Bond. Kenny Rogers sent him a text after he was approached by Donna Shalala to help with the buyout.

No...they should just go with what I say.  Coach Malzahn ain't going anywhere...Miami won't be calling, they want a proven HC.

Never have been a fan of hiring the "coordinator de jure".  Xs and Os aint the same as managing a program.   But that's the way of football these days.

Since Miami is a big market pro town and it is THE U, I will give the obligatory "What about John Gruden?" - since he has coached in Tampa once upon a time.

Has Mark been anywhere outside of a team that had atleast one Stoops as a coach?
