Then he can go fuck himself.
What does this mean "preferred walk-on" ?It means he's shown a little more courtesy than a walk-on. Which, at least years ago, didn't mean squat.

I had no idea that Spanish Fort High had relocated to Geneva. Snags needs to do better at informing us of these Wiregrass events.
Not only that, but he also got 3 inches shorter and 12 pounds heavier.
Threat got a really serious haircut.
What does this mean "preferred walk-on" ?
I looked this up. It means, "We could give you a scholarship but we'd really prefer that you walk-on."
He'sgetting ready to pick.about to confirm what everybody's known for years.
bama duh
Why even watch this?Damn! And I felt almost as certain with Ben as I did with Foster, Evans, Liner, and the lying RB recruit.
Damn! And I felt almost as certain with Ben as I did with Foster, Evans, Liner, and the lying RB recruit.
This is truly shocking!
And you eat my richard, buddy.
He put on a damn houndstooth hat. :facepalm:Well, he at least gave us very serious consideration. I mean, he didn't string us along. Right? There was a chance. Were we not holding our breath?
The coverage on AL.com is our class is now going up in flames because we didn't get this kid who's dad is only the Tahd's all time tackle leader on 3rd downs in the rain against FCS schools or something.
We've got character, yes we do.
R.E. Lee safety, Daniel Thomas inks with the good guys.
BOOM!!!! NCM
Ben Davis, who in his own words: "jes woked up dis moanin and said he gonna go wif what he first woked up wif, and dats what he gonna do" must have rolled out of bed early to collaborate with al.com on this "epic" signing day video. This is some fuckery right here.

FUCK Ben Davis. FUCK al.com.
This is some fuckery right here.
Is that ethical at all? How the fuck is this ok?
They claim they filmed multiple versions. Just happened to be able to post that within four seconds of his announcement, though.Bull fucking shit. Show me the alternate versions.
Bull fudgeing shoot. Show me the alternate versions.
247 has us at #10. If close reasonably well, we'll at least jump Florida, who has 24 commits and only 9 4 stars, and Meatchicken, who have already signed 27.
tOSU
Turdville
FSU
Ole Bag Man Miss
LSU
Nothing Sucks Like A Kirby
Meatchicken
Fighting Dabo's
Another Saban Protégé
AU
Is the Godly Chipmunk signing the usual 481 commits?
And is it just me or does it seem that other than "I'm really looking at other schools" Davis that the Saban machine is whiffing on quite a few today? Nobody's talking about that.
Added a running list to the beginning of this threadThanks for your timely and dedicated service.

Richards to Miami. No news on Diskerson but AU isnt even represented on the table.
Up next....
12 p.m. — Jayvaughn Myers, 4-star cornerback in Dade City, Fla. (Auburn, North Carolina)
With the traditional hard to spell player names at AU, Im saying Myers to Auburn.
11 a.m. — Landon Dickerson, 4-star offensive tackle in Hudson, N.C. (Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee) TV: ESPNUDickerson to FSU
11 a.m. — Ahmmon Richards, 4-star receiver in Miami, Fla. (Alabama, Auburn, Miami)
With the WRs already committed to AU, Im betting Richards goes to Miami.
Myers and Derrick Brown would make this class skeet-worthy.
Im saying Myers to Auburn.
Gusty call
Four articles about Davis on al.com right now. Four.
I wish that tornado had blown up Gordo's fudgeing gym last night.
What GF said. Daddy like.Sorry...University of Auburn
Next...
1 p.m. — David Marshall, 4-star defensive end in Thomaston, Ga. (Auburn, Georgia)
Is AU a serious contender?
Damn whiff on Gary. And we once had a wall around Paramus, NJ. Can't recall us ever missing on any other recruit out of there.
J. Myers to Auburn
Update the big board...and make me a bicycle, clown!Don't have his official LOI yet, and you are fired.
Don't have his official LOI yet, and you are fired.
I'm fired? What are you, some kind of big deal. A Yuuuuuuuuge deal, perhaps?Yeah started the link and flexed your ePenis but no live board updates. For shame, I had to leave Field Day at MiniGodfathers school just to make sure our paying customers are getting their money's worth.

And Marshall to......uga
This is my shocked face.
1:45 p.m. — E.J. Price, 4-star offensive tackle in Lawrenceville, Ga. (Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Southern Cal)
2 p.m. — Derrick Brown, 5-star defensive tackle in Buford, Ga. (Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Tennessee) TV: ESPN2
I think that is it for the big board. Everything will be fill ins if anyone else signs.

BROWN TO AUBURN BOOOOOM!!!
WHERE'S THE AL.COM HYPE VIDEO FOR BROWN?!?!?
Hell yes!
Let's take Davis Jr. and that OL transfer guy (if he wants to come to AU) and call it a day.
Big get.
That leaves what 3-4 spots that we can play around with or save for next year's early enrollees?
Hell yes!But what about the long snappers, underweight linebackers and wide blockers? It's a banner year for all three positions.
Let's take Davis Jr. and that OL transfer guy (if he wants to come to AU) and call it a day.
Currently twitterwarrioring with the douche canoe that made the Bama commit videos if you care to take a gander. Dude's so full of shit, but par for the course for AL.com...

@JustinKing:
@AUChizad Dude, you serious!? Would totally violate the trust of these kids. I made them a promise.
@AUChizad:
@JustinKing Oh noes! It would be unethical to show the "alternate ending" you never shot! Or shilling for one school in the state you cover…
@JustinKing:
@AUChizad Alright man, that's cool.
What are we recruiting Stephen Davis, Jr. as? I see safety on some sites and there's footage of running the ball on others. BTW...a 6'3" 215 pound safety would be lush us.
Yes, and most think it will be Auburn only he wont be signing today for whatever reason.
Me thinks his grades might not be in order. He might be a sign and place kid. Supposedly has a lot of work to do in the classroom.
frick the classroom. we need national championships.
ESPN scrolling some "big flip from auburn to UGA"DL David Marshall flipped to UGA, as has been predicted for over a month now...because they "showed more love"...that's recruit speak for gave me more money.

I count 21 names on the big board (aka the first post in this thread).
Presuming that early enrollees count backwards...
We should have 4 scholarships to dangle.
Figure that Catalina would get one if he wants...
Three for early enrollees (plus attrition/processing)?
Still wondering about Manning. Word was he's not even enrolling except for on-line classes and maybe not even at AU. I know Malzahn is going to honor his scholly whenever he's ready but does he need to count towards this year if he's not coming on campus?

Same thing happened with Shon.
Dude is battling cancer. I hope Auburn does everything they can to help the kid. It's the right thing to do and it's the right thing for the program.^^This. Every word of it^^
Auburn did the right thing by Shon Coleman and he came back to us to play when he could. He turned that into a first round decision. First and foremost I want Manning to be healthy and happy. If he can also contribute to Auburn winning some football games, then so much the better.
I have no issue with holding this scholarship for him. Let that young man know that all he has to do is get healthy right now and his future as a scholarship player in the SEC is taken care of. Give him that peace of mind, at the very least.

Gee, I didn't know that. I just posted some random thread 4 days ago entitled, "Hope this turns out as good as Coleman's story". But jeepers Wally, I had no idea what the story was about. Thanks for the heads up. Prayers sent.
Dude. Srsly? Have some class, although you'd have to borrow it.
Geez Louise. Talk about a jerk.
WTH?
All I asked was did we sign another White boy this year?
Touchy. Touchy!
WHERE'S THE AL.COM HYPE VIDEO FOR BROWN?!?!?Send that guy this highlight video, tell him that's what he should expect in the upcoming Iron Bowl...
DL David Marshall flipped to UGA, as has been predicted for over a month now...because they "showed more love"...that's recruit speak for gave me more money.
Never seen such hype and talk over such a low rated recruit. You would have thought the guy was the next clowney the way the ajc and Uga sites hyped him up. Fwiw I've heard he didn't flip at all. Auburn was take it or leave it with him. Wm was the main one who wanted him. Once he left auburn stopped "showing love". We didn't dance like a monkey for him. Kirby did. Like he did for rashaun. They just butt hurt over Do-Do Brown.
Here's a small bit from a piece by Matt Scalisi. I think this says exactly where we're at with Malzahn and this program. You did great. But so did everybody else we play. You gots the Jimmy's and Joe's. Do you gots the X's and O's?He told the truth but he's an ardent Bamer schill.
When we carry that over to the highly-competitive SEC, it means that finishing in the top 10 doesn't necessarily mean you got a leg up on your rivals.
Case in point: Auburn. The Tigers finished with an impressive fourth-straight top 10 recruiting class. The bad news? Auburn's class was ranked fifth in the SEC. All four of the teams that ranked higher than Auburn are on the Tigers' schedule every year. Can Auburn make up the difference with coaching when its players arrive on campus this August? The answer could determine the fate of the Gus Malzahn Era on the plains.
He told the truth but he's an ardent Bamer schill.
Here's where the SEC landed (To this point) in the 247 rankings. I included Clemson just because we play them. Want to come play in the SEC? Come getchu' some.
1. UA
3. LSU
6. OM
7. UGA
9. AU
10. Dabo's
13. UF
14. UT
18. TAMU
25. Arky
26. USCe
31. MSU
34. UK
MSU got beatdown worse than Buzz at a dumbass convention.I really wish that you would not talk this way about MSU.
"A lot of that 1-on-1 competitiveness from wrestling drives him on the football field," Asheboro High coach Owen George told AL.com in December. "He wants to win every 1-on-1 rep from the guy across the field. He plays with great leverage, plays with his hands and he's very active."
Lets hope he never gets double teamed.
If he can play football I don't care what he does in his off time. :gig:
You gotta pay double for that kind of action, Cotton.
For some of us it would take a million bucks for double the action.
I'm in love with this class.
Seems like we sold out for an RB or a single WR in the past. All "athlete" shine.
This class went hard on the DL, went bonanza on the WRs and we still got some DB, OL and WR help. Oh...and we got two strong contenders to compete with the QBs.
Eat dicks, haterzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Also, last years class was filled with talent that hasn't seen much playing time, especially OL. Wasn't the Auburn OL class last year #1?
This is where we'll part ways. The whole crowd screaming about depth isn't looking at the RS list from last year. We red-shirted almost an entire roster last year. And they are fucking GOOD players. I think the public is going to be surprised by the talent that gets to come off the bench this season by simple virtue of their RS coming off their jersey.
My stance remains: The injury/dismissal bug was HUGE last year (can't think of any team in any other year that dealt with the losses we took); returning/injured players are amazing...RS hitting the field are crazy talented...Early Enrollees are looking like badasses. If a couple of True Frosh (and I'm not counting on a single one) can contribute then we have icing on the motherfucking cake.
We play in the most difficult division in college football...but if we aren't in the top 3 (in conference...our schedule is BRUTAL) then I'll be very disappointed.
Does anyone won't to look back at the 2014 class? Go ahead. I'm really starting to be amazed. Either the AU coaches are crazy as hell or they are truly committed to developing the average 4 star recruit to their fullest.
There is going to be a flood of talent on the field this year.
They have been out of sight...and therefore out of mind...but the RS class is going to kick ass this year.
Funny...no rivals (IRL) are particularly incensed about these recruiting classes.
Everyone seems to think that they did well and filled needs.
Even the LSU fans who were ready to crucify Les are mollified by the solid class.
Mississippi State is furious. They think Mullen laid down and didn't put much into it this year.
Mississippi State is furious. They think Mullen laid down and didn't put much into it this year. Not to mention Ole Piss handed them their lunch
Gus is like a bear with these fuckin teeth...and these fuckin claws...and he needs to figure out how to kill the bunny. Be a bad man, Gus.
Really interested to see if Jauntavius Johnson progressed in his RS year. Hit the weights etc. We were pretty light across the down linemen last year, but if Johnson can get in the rotation along with either Brown or Jackson, we're suddenly pretty stout up the middle.Don't see Thomas as an everydown player at any position. He's not durable like Mason nor has he the leg drive if you recall how often Trey had to battle gang tackles after forward progress. Agree Roc and Kerryon are elusive playmakers though Gushlee failed miserably to get them enough touches. Kerrykat right was the laziest piece of shit redzone offense ever deployed. We can get more imaginative with both. Helps also to have someone that can get it to them when they are out there.
I'm not worried about the depth at LB. They did sign a great LB class last year (3 actual LB's. Montavious Atkinson is a DB now listed at 183) and put the RS on two of them. Along with Deshaun Davis, I think you have 5 that can kick ass in this league. RB not so much. The numbers are okay. If Jovon stays healthy, we're solid. He goes down, there's question marks. Dispense with the sunshine pumping. You've got
Jovon
Roc
Carry On
Malik
I think Roc can be an every down back. A little small but the only thing that worries me is it appears the coaches haven't had that much faith in him. Not sure why. He does have the ability.
Kerryon. Definite playmaker. Wish he had gotten the rock more. But, he's maybe 195 soaking wet. If he's called on to get the carries, is he going to be able to pound it up the middle on every first down....as Malzahn has this ever so slight tendency to do?
Malik. True freshman. Unknown. Injured most of last year. Has the physical tools to be a beast.
I'm not singing the blues by any means. Like I said, if JR stays healthy, we're golden. If not, a lot of questions remain. You can't feel totally skippy about the depth at RB when you signed 1 each of the last 2 years and one on the current roster bolted for the NFL.
Scarbinsky says Gus doesn't do much with the talent. Unlike with Saban where it blossoms.
HGH is a wonderful thing

I had a different perception of the Mildcat. I thought Carry On was pretty effective for the most part. Never broke anything but then I don't think that formation is intended to. But it seemed he always had positive yardage. Don't know if they keep stats on it but I'd like to see what he did when he ran it.We saw straight keepers toward the flag with ABSOLUTELY no threat to pass.
Funny...no rivals (IRL) are particularly incensed about these recruiting classes.Jawja fans mad.

Yeah, working in a pass or two might have taken some by surprise or even opened up that play a little more due to the threat. Still, I usually had a good amount of confidence we'd pick up some good yardage when KJ was back there. Question. Is my old timers kicking in or didn't we run some kind of crazy pass against Memphis out of the mildcat or a reverse or something? Threw it right to the Memphis DB? Am I/was I on drugs?Answer: You are wanting my old timers to confirm yours.
Answer: You are wanting my old timers to confirm yours.
Scratch the Moncrief claw off of the bear's list. Muschamp ran him off. Iirc, he didn't have size enough for him at safety and I guess he didn't want to play whatever else they had him at. Sam, Will, Jack or Bartholomew?
Work with me here. I was counting on at least 6-7 functioning brain cells left between the two of us.
Yes. But it was with Jason Smith. Confirmed why he is at WR!
We need a poll for opening day starter. I say we go with experienced JJ. Wrong thread but would be interested to know what our distinguished panel thinks. :moon:
Yes. But it was with Jason Smith. Confirmed why he is at WR!Kerryon would be at corner for Saban iffin he didn'thave wildcat aspirations.
