Got a problem with a mortgage company. I refinanced with Hancock Whitney (stupidly thought they were local) and it’s been sold like five times.
Was with Wells Fargo for years. Never had a problem. This new bunch? Every month it’s something.
They’ve raised my monthly rate more than $600 since taking over last October. It’s apparently their scam. Ive seen numerous complaints about the same thing. “Escrow shortage” (never had one in 35 years of mortgage payments before). “Escrow went up”. And they jack payments by several hundred with no recourse, apparently to hundreds of clients.
Call to ask questions and it’s endless phone loop that eventually hangs up on you. I’ve tried to contact them probably 20 times myself.
If they are, in fact, fraudulently jacking up payments (which I am sure they are) is there the possibility of a class action?

Normally, I would come up with something hilarious but there is ZERO funny about this.
Fuck them and the whole idea of the his b.s.

I've had Chase for 20+ years on our home with a fixed mortgage, and our mortgage payment has gone up about 600 dollars in the last 6-8 months, and it's due to Illinois property taxes, and USAA homeowners insurance going up. So difference all going into escrow. Can you check check your insurance company to see if they'd had a price increase, or if any discounts you had rolled off and they didn't let you know?
