Title: Borderlands
Post by: Saniflush on October 22, 2009, 09:30:43 AM
Shoot and Loot.

360/PS3/computer

Phenomenal game.

4 player coop where players can drop in and out without it screwing up anyones game or experience.

Graphics/artwork are unreal.

As they advertise there seem to be about a bazillion different weapons to use depending what class you are and how you upgrade them.

This may be a good one for me to pick up and game with if any of you PS3 owners are so inclined.  I have already been playing it on 360 but I would pick it up on PS as well if there is interest?  It's that good in coop.

Can I get an Amen from the Godfather on this game?

Now if we can figure out our communication problem.

AMEN

You other fuckers need to join Sani and myself, get a little 4 way action going.  If I hadn't put a curfew on myself last night we would probably still be playing.

To explain its kinda like WoW meets Mad Max meets First Person Shooter meets sick cartoon graphics.

You have to play a game that matters for there to be a difference.

True... but much like your headset I'd say it was more operator error than lag issues.

Oh king of the first person shooters

Secret Armory of General Knoxx came out for this last week.  It raises the cap level to 61, and it's fucking hard.  You almost need to have more than two players to do these missions.

And if you haven't gotten the Mad Moxxi DLC, save your money.  Not worth it.

Thanks for picking up my slack.

May well be the best $10 worth of down loadable content I have ever purchased!  been four of us banging away on it for about eight hours and still do not see the end of it.

I just picked up Borderlands in the past month or so, and it's making me ignore Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2.

I bought this game contemporaneously with Modern Warfare 2.  I did the training shit...and haven't touched it since.

I don't have enough time in my life for Guitar Hero, Modern Warfare...and Borderlands.

Ah, proving it’s always better when officially announced, 2K Games and Gearbox Software deliver some great news and artwork on the next downloadable expansion for Borderlands.  “Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution” is the name of the fourth Borderlands DLC expansion. It continues the wasteland of fun with everyone’s favorite Borderlands  personality, the Claptrap. In the DLC, there will be over 20 new missions, with 10 new skill points, 3 new backpack slots, and new loot to be found. And a radical Claptrap revolution and Ninja Assassin to be contained.

Here are the details on what you can expect from 2K Games and Gearbox Software:
“Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution invites single-player and co-op fans back to try to suppress a deadly Claptrap revolution using one of four infamous vault hunters. The foursome find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a deadly civil war between the Hyperion Corporation’s well-armed armadas and the ever-amassing army of homicidal Claptraps led by one of the most eagerly awaited characters in the franchise’s history – the cunning Ninja Assassin.  As vault hunters, players must put aside their past differences with the Hyperion Corporation, namely the organization’s repeated attempts to wipe them from existence. For a hefty payday, they will join forces to help beat down the mechanical uprising and thwart the dastardly kung-fu expert, the Claptrap known only as Ninja Assassin.”

Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution will be available for purchase and download on the Xbox 360 (800 Microsoft Points, $10), PlayStation 3 ($9.99) and PC ($9.99) in September 2010.

There's some really good DLC that's out in Sept.  This, Mass Effect 2, and then some for Dragon Age.  I'm going to need to get some MS Points, quick.
