Title: Hey Chad... UPDATE: Mea Culpa
Post by: Tiger Wench on September 13, 2010, 09:54:57 AM
So I used that program last night that you linked to in another thread, the one that converts your iTunes songs to whatever the other format is... and it fucked up all the music I had bought from iTunes.  Now all the iTunes-purchased songs sound like they are being played in a wind tunnel, and I am pissed off.

How do I fix this?

Apple Customer Care:  "Are you sure you're not standing in a wind tunnel, Ms. Wench?"

OK, so I got in my car at lunch and discovered that the iPhone jack was not connected all the way - just enough to let you hear the music but not enough of the way to make all the speakers work, I guess.  And it just so happened that every song that played on shuffle was a download, so naturally I assumed...

Sorry, Chadkins... I should have known better than to challenge you on geek stuff.

I will humbly accept your jeers and laughter.  See, The Wench is human after all.  A superior human to all of you people, but human nonetheless.

I don't remember the site I referenced, but do be careful with compressing your music to a new format, because you CAN compress it too much and lose noticeable sound quality.

I did that myself a few years back when I was trying to keep all of my music on my 60GB iPod. Really wished I never did that, because now every once in a while a song will come up on shuffle that sounds like shit, and I'm fairly positive it's because I compressed it too much.
