List any horror/suspense films you'd like to see reviewed/discussed in the series.
Note: the following are off-limits: The Nightmare on Elm Street series, The Friday the 3th Series, Any of the other Halloween films.
I'm looking for things that may slip under the radar but are "must sees" for people who want a real, novel scare and not just another splatter-fest. Unless, of course, the splatter fest is awesome!

The Box.
I saw it and I believe reviewed it in Kaos's thread.
I can see where some people would hate it, but in my opinion it was one of the best Horror movies of this decade, along with 1408.

Slither
It sucked, but I laughed. The mayor was hilarious.

I should have qualified this request by writing that I am looking for films from the 50s-80s or early 90s. Recent films get a lot of review attention on the site and there's no need to add to that noise.
Thanks for the suggestions.
P.S. Kaos, I liked Slither better when it was called Night of the Creeps.

Santas Sleigh starring Bill Goldberg or anything with Bruce Campbell in it.
-

I saw that one at Hastings for .99 rental. I'll probably save it until holiday time next year along with my Silent Night, Deadly Night retrospective.

Blood Sucking Freaks or Dr. Giggles

Chopping Mall, Maximum Overdrive, The Toxic Avenger, Slumber Party Massacre and my favorite Cutting Class.

Now those, sir, are some good horror movies.

Tales from the Crypt
I'm talking about the original, the first movie attempt by that franchise...the one with a bunch of mini movies in it...one has a guy dying on the beach when he's buried in sand and the high tide comes in...or the one with the roaches where they infest this guys house and they end up crawling out of his mouth....good stuff.

Yes, she corrected me quite nicely. If I remember correctly, I do believe Stephen King, Ted Danson, and Leslie Nielson were in this movie as well.

Actually, asians are creepy as shit. The Ring, Dark Water, etc...not nearly as scary as the Jap originals.

Never heard of it. Did it have Elizabeth Banks or the hilarious mayor in it? I didn't think so.

Case closed.

Never watched Hellraiser.
NotC and AWiL are on the list.
Pet Cemetary was a better book.
Children of the Corn would be fun.

I watched Zombies explanation of the movie last night, with him telling me what was going on I still had no idea wtf was going on.

My point exactly. You should be able to watch a movie and get it. It shouldn't take extended universe (commentary, novelizations, etc.) to explain shit. Star Wars prequels are in the same league as H2. You need a fucking map and dissertation to get it.
