Title: ipod
Post by: chinook on December 28, 2009, 05:44:26 PM

figures this happens after christmas...

ipod touch went titz up today.  headphone jack issue.  repair can run from $50 to $100.  also, i've noticed the battery not working correctly.  battery replacement 50 - 75 smack-a-roos.

so...if i consider the maximum repair cost...i'm in it for 175.  looks like a new one is in order.  i'm looking at the 5th generation ipod nano.

any thoughts...comments?  suggestions?

wal-mart has the nano for $133.00 + no tax.

Zune has worked great so far, so has my I-Phone. I would go with the I-Pod touch or the Zune Hd.

Step 1: Buy new iPod touch from Wal-Mart identical to broken one
Step 2: Put broken iPod touch in new iPod touch box and return it
Step 3: ??????
Step 4: Profit

Wal-mart will take almost anything back.

It's worth a try, but I'd delete all your "barely legal" videos before you attempt this.

Two of my in-laws got nanos right before Christmas.  If I didn't already have an old 30gb classic and a new 32gb touch, I would be getting one.  The camera was enough to sell me on them.
