Title: Who Dat? v Saban's elves
Post by: BZ770 on December 27, 2009, 01:01:54 PM
Living in Mobile and working in Coastal Mississippi,  I've noticed an influx of Bandwagon Saints and Bama Fans.  You would be surprised how many turd fans there are in Miss.  My conclusion is that the Turds still hold the title belt of redneck inbred bandwagon fans coming out of the woodwork.

I have noticed the last two years. bama gets things turned around and a whole slew of bammers pop'n up everywhere. Once they have a sub-par season, those car stickers and antenna flags will go back into the storage room.

I'm one of those new Saints fans.

But I just started dating a girl from New Orleans this year, and this is the first season my buddy Roman Harper has been a major contributor all year without being out for injury.

I'm here in New Orleans now. That game sucked.

Only silver Lining is that Cadillac was the MVP.

6 YPC with a touchdown.

Growing up in Mobile, I'm a Saints fan by default.  But even with the season they've had this year, I've only watched about half of the games.  After pouring all of my energy into Saturdays during the regular college football season, I just don't have enough gas in the tank to follow the NFL that closely.

Old joke is that you could tell Bama was winning by the smell of mothballs in the air.

The more they win the more obnoxious I get in my attire, too.  Where I normally might just wear an AU pullover or something, I now wear the full combo.  I go orange, too.  Full orange.  But not orange pants.

I wore some orange pants on the course back when I played some golf. Took a lot of heat, but disturbed opponents enough to choke up a few dollars. Still, to this day I do not know what possessed me to buy them. They were really hideous.

I like the mindset. Wear it with pride Kaos. I like wearing mine as well. The more crazy looks I get from the bammers, the more Im gonna wear my AUburn attire. You know, I really thought that when we moved here to Eufaula there would be a significant more AUburn fans than in the Birmingham are where I once lived due to proximity, but I was wrong. Whats funny though, is that a lot of that one can contribute to the fact that Courtney Upshaw plays for bama.

I've been a Saints fan since I was old enough to recognize our symbol - brown paper bags with eye holes cut out.

Then a few years later, I learned that the fleur-de-lis was our primary symbol.  The brown paper bags were secondary.

Is Courtney Upshaw like a folklore hero in Eufaula?

And that orange ensemble IS the stuff of legends.

Holy crap.....that you?? LOL

And these days K, its not mothballs, but more the crease in the shirt from where they got it right off the rack at "teh Wal Marts" after the SECCG victory and put it right on with no washing. In fact I saw a couple of them at my local Wal Mart Saturday trying to decide on which bumper sticker they wanted. Both had on their Christmas presents, creased and all. Very sad.

No.  Not me.  Do you see the ball on the green?  Yeah, that's a giveaway.  My game has fallen completely apart the last month or so.  If I don't chip it in from about 20 feet or putt it in from the fringe, I don't have a ball on the green.

The lack of silly face paint is also a dead giveaway.

Well there's always therapy available to retrieve ones game.
