Nobody talking about MSU? Are we just assuming that we win?
They have a stud RB in Dixon and (usually) a stout defense. We both played openers that built confidence but didn't give us an accurate gauge on our potential for success in the SEC.
I think we'll see a faster pace this week. Malzahn was clearly displeased with the tempo against LaTech. More plays = more yards (usually). More yards = more points (usually).
That said, I think we're a little less impressive against (arguably) stronger competition.

My opinion is noted on the front page.
The SWAC played six games against D1 competition last season. Average score? 56-8. Was State's offense really that much improved? Or did four or five turnovers just give them the opportunity to score points against a team from a conference that gives up scores more often than a drunk sorority girl from Alabama at a used car salesman convention?
If State doesn't score 45 there's a major problem. that they struggled for a half until turnovers opened the floodgates against a doormat speaks volumes.
Eleven Bratz dolls could have scored 45 on Jackson State.

I'm still trying to fit in an orange (or was it blue?) Michelin Man reference. Tuberville in his polar outfit at WV last year was funny in the first half and incredibly sad in the second. Wish I could find that picture from the game that completely summed up the year. Expression of complete bewilderment on his face. In the Michelin Man outfit.
